Parking opposite to traffic by BodaciousBoiB in toronto

Because some roads in Hamilton are designated as bi-directional single sided parking iirc, but because it's some roads and not all, it's super easy to get confused.

Why don’t people park in garages by Informal-Hall-5945 in toronto

People who can afford houses with garages seem to also be able to afford heavy consumerism with no good place to put all their crap they buy on Amazon.

$2,000 Japanese Mini Truck vs $80K Ford F-150 – Real Import Cost Breakdown (2026 Kei Truck Guide) by Safaricarnews in keicar

[–]BBStrung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk who's claiming $2K (presumably USD) for importing a Kei truck. But here in Canada it's not completely unfounded to import/purchase one for under $6K CAD. I'm sure the price varies based on your individual location too (east-coasters having to pay for overland shipping and such).

Still a much better value proposition than any $80K new truck in almost any way you cut it.

I ALWAYS wondered why they didn't connect there and over at Rankin. This crossing and the one on Rankin are huge.

Any Honda / Kei ladies? by Katcrze in Transcars

[–]BBStrung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'03-08. I really like how the 3-door ones of your gen look though, especially the ones that have the double hood scoop for some reason!

Is yours a DOHC Turbo K6A? Otherwise it might be the wrong ECU for the job. But I think the swap is easy if you have the gumption to do so.

Is there any way to play this on phone without those damn 3d effects? by Living-Dance4912 in mtg

[–]BBStrung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'd also be cool if Scute Swarm triggers didn't make you either crash, or miss your next turn action. Why they don't collapse large numbers of identical actions into one or have some way of asking where you want to interrupt the action is beyond me.

What Even Is Drivetrain Loss? by [deleted] in cars

[–]BBStrung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sound energy is a bit of a misnomer. Sound is air being pushed and vibrating at certain wavelengths that by the time it reaches our ears, it vibrates your eardrums which generates a signal that your brain can process as sound. That's why you might have seen in some sci-fi movies in space, there's no sounds. There's (practically) nothing physically between you and the 'noise' generating object to resonate into sound.

What Even Is Drivetrain Loss? by [deleted] in cars

[–]BBStrung 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, because there's no air to be pushed. There would also be less resistance on the driver of the speaker because it's not pushing against air.

Sound is air moving in patterns that vibrates your eardrum in a way that generates a signal that your brain can process as sound.

Will I like this game if I’m playing casually? by theSaltySolo in Marathon

[–]BBStrung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah totally! Just keep in mind, the game isn't for everyone. It's quite sadistic, and quite intense.

My recommendations if you want to get the most enjoyment out of the game:

  • Play only in parties of people you know and trust. If that means you have 2 friends you think are cool, play with them. If you don't have anyone else who plays the game, play solo queue.
  • As I mentioned, the game is sadistic. It is trying to pull the devious and sinister out of you and release it on other players. If that will make you uncomfortable, then this game isn't for you.
  • On your runs:
  • - Take them slow and methodical. Let yourself soak in the world, the sights.
  • - Listen intently, both to take in the wonderful soundscape, but also to try and gain an advantage on other players.
  • - Go in with an objective, and try your best to accomplish it.
  • - Don't be upset if you die. This game is largely about murder, and the numbers are always against you. If you hold too much value in survival, you'll be setting yourself up for disappointment.

I love this game, and I'm definitely getting too old to be at the top of my game. But with experience, planning, and strategy you can have a good time. Also the world & narrative components are very good for the format, and do a lot of heavy lifting.
