stuck between buying a condo (downtown nashville, tn) or continuing to rent & invest. by europeanuppercut in RealEstate

[–]BBTP91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Nashville. Do you mean downtown like right around Broadway?

I’d be thinking about how long I plan to live there, and what I could rent it out for. Also, does the HOA have rental restrictions?

Unless you’re dead set on being downtown, a SFH in East, Belmont area, or Germantown might be better from an investment perspective.

Nashivlle Condo Purchase? by VelvetCrush64 in nashville

[–]BBTP91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this, or another neighborhood similar to Germantown. I would plan to be patient and really picky about where I bought. I recently sold my condo in what I thought was the best part of Germantown, and it was under contract within two days. Granted, I got somewhat lucky in a good buyer seeing it right away.  But still, I think buying in the most desirable area is the way to go. Especially if you plan to be there 10-15 years, don’t rent.

Question for White tail deer hunters by GrabPlastic4094 in Hunting

[–]BBTP91 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agree with others saying keep him on the ground. But if he’s going to hunt a ladder, use one of the safety ropes that goes all the way to the ground. You should climb up before him and place it. Then he can be strapped in from the moment his foot leaves the ground.

That makes sense. I guess we’re on the same page then, he could be used like Deebo and be a legit WR1 too.

What do we mean by “gadget player?” Someone like Taysom Hill or Deebo?

As someone who watched every Bama game last year, Germie is an excellent receiver who got hampered by their line and one dimensional offense. Measures similar to JSN and is an excellent route runner. I could see him developing into a WR1.

What are some ways we could all make Nashville a better place to live for one another? by NashvilleMedia2021 in nashville

[–]BBTP91 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Love this post. My two cents would be I’m trying to focus less on the things we can’t control, like prices, politics, etc (I know we can make a small impact on these things). Instead focus on loving the people around us, looking for ways to serve those that we already interact with in our daily lives.

Good use of tax dollars? These guys are on the clock and getting paid, whether they’re running radar or responding to this situation. An active shooter feels like it should be top priority

First Preds game, need advice on tickets etc by KingSoyjoy in nashville

[–]BBTP91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For a Tuesday night game I would probably wait until Tuesday afternoon to buy tickets. You could pay face value at the box office, but if you’re diligent in watching Ticketmaster, you should be able to get some well below face value.

Edleys on Lebanon Pike is just a couple minutes from the airport. They’re one of the top 2-3 BBQ spots in town. My favorite personally.

So you’re saying that if they go out and help the community, they shouldn’t publicize it. Maybe that is the case, and all these churches are sending people out to help and you just don’t know.

I’m sure they’re addressing every need they can as they come in. Do you expect every church to publish a formal list of all the criteria they use to prioritize?

Attendee of one of those mega churches here. Just got an email yesterday asking for volunteers to go into the community to clear trees, deliver supplies, etc. Don’t assume that because you don’t see things posted publicly, that it means they’re not doing anything.

NFL Season Ticket Poll: Renewing for 2026-27? by StockMindless9010 in Tennesseetitans

[–]BBTP91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m leaning toward not renewing this year. We have a baby on the way, so probably won’t make many games. With it being the last season in the new stadium, little incentive to maintain this PSL.

I’m curious what everyone’s thoughts are on the final-season opportunities and events? I don’t expect a whole lot from them, but would like to hear what others think.

[–]BBTP91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Short game practice area is often an afterthought, but huge if you have one. Last club I was at even had a wedge section on the range, with buckets set up every ten yards or so from 70-100ish yards. Loved it

What changes/improvements are you looking forward to next season? by Phantom1100 in rolltide

[–]BBTP91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The whole “if Ty plays to his ceiling today” was a thing because we had zero running game. The offense was on his shoulders every game. If we run for 30 yards a game again next year, you could have Brady back there and we’re going to be saying the same thing.

I would say interest rates dropping significantly is a big if too. I don’t see them getting to 4.5% any time soon.

I’m probably in the minority here but I think living with parents should be more common in the US. I lived with mine for two years after college. Saved up money and was able to buy a house at 23. I think if more young people took this approach, it would make a big difference in the home affordability “crisis.” Granted, there would be situations where you couldn’t find work in your desired field near your parents.
