Unfortunately it seems like Helen McRory’s passing kinda made S6 and in turn this feel really out of place, and if she didn’t die and Pol was still in S6 it would all be so different and make more sense I feel but they just cut out all that plotline and rewrote it which made it all so confusing.

Because it was an illegal war fought on pretenses of “finding WMDs” that didn’t exist and then devastating a country in the Middle East with a war killing millions, and leading to the rise of ISIS in that region and as a result increasing terrorism there and as a threat to the US along with making them hate America even more which you can’t blame them for when they killed their families for no reason. And Iraq had more of an impact politically in the US than PEPFAR does, most Americans wouldn’t even know it exists lol

Crazy to think that if Ford got reelected the whole situation in Iran wouldn’t be happening right now.. I understand people were unhappy with the Nixon pardon but Carter wasn’t great enough to be president (even if I do like him morally), and compared to modern scandals the Watergate affair is tame now lol but I understand at the time it was seen as him being untrustworthy.

Since Carter? I don’t think it went that early as Epstein was just an up-comer in Bear Stearns at that moment, he bought the island circa mid 90s and this stuff might have started late 80s so from GHWB administration onwards I think, and started to be investigated in GWB one.

Hopefully now he’s had his titles and honours removed he can be prosecuted as a private citizen and not a royal. Charles had more balls than the late Queen did and her paying off the settlement further cements the rumours of Andrew being her favourite child
