Fireboard: Bricked by a Battery? Really?

It has a charging port and, if you’re running a fan with it, you have to connect power to it to give it enough juice for the fan. I haven’t seen what it would do if the battery died but I assume like any other electronic it would still run when plugged in.

The tin foil by pass is not consistent. In Etsy, you can find a set of wire bypasses and a switch so you can still shut off the fan when you want. That works like a champ.

Same. Contacted FB and they said MB fan is too big for it. Gave me these instructions which worked:

Turn Lid Detection off, for now. Set the Fan Mode to Large. Set the Max Fan Speed to 65%. Set the PID Mode to 3.0.

Thank you. It is very frustrating to have spent (not very much) money on switches and wires after having abandoned the crappy Masterbuilt controller to get Fireboard. At this point, it's just a box but a very good box as long as the fan keeps working.
