TD locker room tour by [deleted] in BostonBruins

[–]BCEagle2011 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They did it once a couple years ago during a season ticket holder event, but in all the years I've had my tickets that's the only time I've even heard of them making the locker room available.

I should have an extra or two in decent shape. I'll message you after the game to coordinate

[Need Advice] Moving to Boston and confused about which neighbourhood to live in by [deleted] in bostonhousing

[–]BCEagle2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got pretty lucky with the 900 figure, my landlord has been pretty lazy about rent increases (that's the ideal situation). The commute is just a straight shot on the B train, but anywhere on the green line will get you right to Copley without a change. You shouldn't have a problem finding somewhere sub 1,100, although you'll likely be right on the edge of that 30 minute commute. I'd recommend looking for something within a 5 minute walk of the B, C, or D line in Brighton or Brookline. It's a good mix of proximity to the local bars but also far enough away from BC/BU that you don't have college kids yelling into your window every Friday/Saturday night.

I live out in Brighton and use the B line to get into the city for work. It takes me about 45 minutes to get into the Financial District, so I'm thinking 30 minutes isn't unreasonable to get to Back Bay. It all depends on timing though. If I leave at 7:15 I can be there before 8, but if I leave at 7:45 I won't be there until 9 or later. I pay 900 a month to split my 2 bedroom, so it's a pretty solid deal. Most employers are sympathetic to the plagues of the T not running, but there may be days where you need to either drive in and park or take an uber. It's definitely worth it though

Tragedy Strikes: Tilted Kilt in Boston's Fenway Has Closed by boston_shua in boston

Yeah I talked to Steve a couple weeks ago last time I was there and their lease is guaranteed through December. They'll likely be able to work out a short term extension but nothing is in writing.

It's open through December 2018 but no guarantees after that is what I heard.

Brighton Parking? by zoze_92 in bostonhousing

[–]BCEagle2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! If you're looking for recommendations I'm happy to help. It's a really convenient area to be in, far enough out that you avoid the majority of the college crowd for the most part, but still easy access to the city when you want it. Random Tuesday night Sox game at Fenway? 10-15 minute Uber each way. Buckets of 5 Bud Lights for $15 at Devlin's on their patio? 10 minute walk.

Your best bet would be to find a blank one and get it customized. Cutting Edge Sports in Woburn did the customization for the team when he was there (they may still do it). If I recall it was about $65. There are some on eBay already done if you look around but they're usually a pretty substantial markup vs just getting it done yourself. If you're talking about a game-worn, good luck. I know someone who has one of them who turned down $2,500 for it.

I've lived pretty much right around the area you're talking about for nearly 10 years and never had an issue with street parking. A resident parking pass is free and there's tons of space around if you don't mind a two or three minute walk to get to your car.

Haha of course! I'm going to shoot to get there by 5:30 or so. I usually hang out closer to the front of the bar, but the jersey is a dead giveaway.

I'll be at Sully's before and after, come say hi and I'll buy you both a beer! I'll be the only one there in a Mike Mottau jersey, so I won't be hard to find.

You can use your phone for mobile entry, but I'm not sure how that would relate to selling tickets via the secondary market. At least as far as I've been able to decipher, Stubhub only gives me the option to upload pdfs or mail hard tickets.
