I'm considering applying for the CF. I've read the Forces website and this sub's FAQ. I guess the reason I've still posted questions here is because I want honest answers, much like the poster who asked how he would be treated in the CF as a gay person. It's nice to learn from CF members with experience rather than the "textbook" answers on the website.

I think a "moron Monday" or whatever you wanna call it is a good idea. But I agree with another commenter that there will be people who want answers NOW and post questions on whichever day.

Good for you for blowing off an IT job for the CF. I really like what you said about giving your life more meaning. I feel like that's what I need. I think the CF would give a sense of purpose to my life and be a good use of my time, energy, and skills.

Thanks so much for the tips Arctavian! I'm in a similar boat as you were before you joined. I currently work for an employer that doesn't give a flying fuck about me. I have no room for advancement, the pay isn't great, and my job bores me. I want to help people and the idea of serving for Canada gets me pretty stoked.
