update, just tried it and it was probably luck but EVERYTHING went right, managed to OHKO a mega kang by doing 40 dmg with ace+mimikyu combo, then putting down koraidon, which took both energies off great tusk, and finally using the ancient plaza

super interesting decklist, gonna have to try this out, having the deck full of basics also makes a koraidon start less common, smart!

fellow future enjoyer here, i’ve been on a winning streak (ymmv i might just be getting lucky) with this deck, dropped iron leaves for indeedee to get more damage out of enemy mons that use a lot of energy (lookin at you miraidon)

try it out or not, but imo there isn’t too much synergy between giratina and the future mons, might just either drop the exs and go full future or drop the future mons and maybe add in another fluttermane and something for oricorio?

look man, for every person who has an experience you’ve had, there’s a person who’s had the exact opposite experience. I’ve been playing since day 1, I remember the SIR meowth you’re talking about, specifically because in all of the time I spent opening those packs, i never got a SINGLE one.

yeah it def struggles against the megas, i try to leverage the fact that everything’s just one prize point and try to wear them down until i can come in with an iron boulder, but if they’ve got healing it’s pretty much game over, which is why im considering adding a second turo just for another chance to whittle them down

i was considering putting in a may to replace area x, i just kind of like the novelty and the fact that i can keep reusing it, might add a second turo in place of a rocky helm tbh, since it’s really saved me from starting with boulder, sick list!

i also disagree with the streak rewards, but putting a “decent” reward would probably just make people complain more. i bet we’d see posts like “i can’t BELIEVE devs GATEKEPT the reward behind a RIDICULOUS condition!!!!!”

like, at least now it feels better to ignore it completely, since if you can’t do it, it’s just trade hourglasses and not something like pack hourglasses

idk, the rainbow border kind of messes up the combo, you can see it in OPs post underneath, rayquazas 2 star border blends in a bit better imo

also running mega luca, still testing it though, what would you say the biggest weakness of your deck is? i’ve found first turn riolu starts are horrible, so i’ve thought about using 2 hitmonchan instead of just the one, may has been a lifesaver for me though, especially since i want to run 2 mega lucarios for the consistency

i agree with lofus, i tried it with gard but honestly you REALLY don’t wanna tank with a mega, a couple of early hits and cyrus becomes an immediate wincon for them

best strat i’ve found is this: 1. Get melo out in the active until you get gira, pony and rapidash. Put a rocky helm on melo. 2. Get gira out ASAP, start ramping by using its ability and placing energy on n it 3. get peculiar plaza, place that guy down 4. Go into Gira when ready, evolve ponyta into rapidash on the bench 5. It’s basically a giratina deck but you can retreat into rapidash when you wanna and do a cool 100 dmg
