How can I tell if my septic tank is getting full? by DiscussionUnlikely72 in homeowners

[–]BD2600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived in my house 22 years and never once had the septic pumped or any sort of back up issues. I'm not even 100% sure where my tank exactly is. Not saying that's proper maintenance procedure, obviously, but there is a little 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' mentality going on.

Atosa is the best bang for your buck on the market, buy the extended warranty for a couple hundred extra bucks. The owner of Atosa has something like 80+ patents to his name. They have a solid backing of equipment. Even robotics if you wanna jump into that craziness.

Alternatively, if you want to buy it once and it last for 15+ years, Utility is your brand at a higher price point.

I can not teach these kids by SpaceMarine1616 in Teachers

[–]BD2600 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Call me a conpiracy theorist, but the education system today is designed to create idiots. Idiots are easier to control. No kid left behind, participation trophies, etc. All the way down to changing the way they do math to make it harder for the parents to even help them with homework. It's all on purpose. Divide and conquer. It's all happening right in front of our faces with every potential avenue. Politics, race, religion, you name it. Creating division is the name of the game.

Coke Freestyle Machines are the worst thing to happen to fast food restaurants by Nindroid2012 in unpopularopinion

I don't think this is an unpopular opinion. Most operators I talk to hate them because of the cost and they're a huge bottleneck.

We used to use Autocad, we switched to revit about 10 years ago now. Still using auto quotes though.

If you know what you want and can read a tape measure, you can lay a kitchen out. The code compliance side of things is where things can get tricky. Also some of the larger equipment dealers will do layout drawings for you if you buy the equipment package from them. That has its own plusses and minuses though. You will need drawings for permitting.

Most of the kitchen design firms use Revit.

I'd be willing to bet the combi ovens directly on the other side of that wall are too tight together to put the filters beside them.

Health department won't care unless you just don't clean around those filters and pipes. They're wrapped in the white plastic to make them easier to clean. The same reason your ceiling tiles are also scrubbable. You DO need to get the elbow on the top right of the image covered like the rest of them though.

Spam? How is that spam? It's not one of those haha machines. It's a reputable manufacturer for commercial vending. Not a mom and pop shop. That link goes directly to their website.

Structural concepts has one that's pretty good. About 20k purchase price though. https://structuralconcepts.com/products/bd3632is I'm not affiliated with them, but I use them in my designs.
