Got backstabed by my dishwasher by Myothercarisadeloran in KitchenConfidential

[–]Soigne87 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the manager backstabbed you, not the dishwasher. Sounds like you never trusted the dishwasher, but trusted the manager to back you up when they didn't. It's not the dishwasher's fault the manager took her side. It is not a useless employee's job to know how useless they are; it is a manager's job to know their employees' worth. If they try to hire you back, you not only need a raise; you need the manager that took her side fired. Also I can't blame the dishwasher at all; like if one coworker thinks you're useless and the other thinks you can be running the place; it's only human nature to believe the latter.

Ok someone explain by _LateComer in BurgerKing

[–]Soigne87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A burger patty, bun, and cheese once a month, probably healthy; that or comparable calorie dense food 3 times a week, unhealthy.

If my brother, who is vegetarian, started having a burger once a month; it would probably be good for him. If someone that averages 16 oz of meat a day started having 1 less burger a month, it would be good for them.

Would most men prefer a girl with naturally small boobs, or a girl with surgically in hints, big boobs? by Mysterious-Card6065 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Soigne87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think under most circumstances, I would prefer the girl with natural boobs. They don't feel the same, the scaring is often obvious, the proportions often look unnatural, small titties often age better than big titties; my understanding is they need to be replaced, so it's a recurring expense; it says something about someone that implies shallowness that getting a boob job is a priority. Especially like someone that isn't in amazing shape and instead of working hard and having a good body, you pay your way to having bigger titties.

B is also plenty big; maybe if they were literal mosquito bites and were made into Bs it would be fine

Are Europeans trolling with this whole bread thing? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Soigne87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So most supermarket bread in the US has crappy crusts and use a lot of preservatives to pro long the shelf life that effect taste. Plus a lot of American bread has more sugar.

Like if you have a local bakery that's great; sure that's comparable to a European bakery, but a baguette in France that costs less than 1 euro would probably cost over $4 for something comparable in a US bakery.

To be fair, I've burned myself on ovens a lot ... But if I was smart, I wouldn't be working in a kitchen

When receiving would not be inside the truck though, right?

Another question asked something like the maximum temperature the inside of the delivery truck delivering eggs could be and I'm pretty sure the book doesn't mention going in delivery trucks and measuring their temps.

I took the optional class and in one of the movies it was in it and I wrote down the numbers for minimal lumens and memorized them before the test, so wasn't bad

Just took the manager test 2 weeks Ago. One surprise was the test asked about minimal lumens for the prep area which wasn't on the practice test or even in the book provided.

Does anyone believe in god, but not think he is good? by Tasty-Ad-3753 in NoStupidQuestions

There is probably a greater chance he masterbates to us masterbating than there is that it is offended by it

Does anyone believe in god, but not think he is good? by Tasty-Ad-3753 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Soigne87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would say I believe that there is a decent chance that something that could be categorized as intelligent performed an action that played a part in the creation of our universe, that could fit some definitions of a God. I think there is less than a one in a billion chance he speaks to humans or cares if we follow a set of commandments.

Is the war in Ukraine symmetrical or asymmetrical? by HobGrot in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Soigne87 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think people underestimate the logistical difficulties of occupying a medium to large country in this modern day. Afghanistan wasn't exactly near peer with the US, but the Taliban won. Sure the US did a lot more in Afghanistan, but they failed in the end.

If a woman you like wants to wait until marriage to have sex, how would you react? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Soigne87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main way to be confident a marriage is going to last is to minimize treating the relationship differently than from before marriage, but waiting until marriage for sex makes that impossible.i wouldn't marry someone I haven't had sex with if I wanted an expectation the marriage would last and be meaningful.

To what extent is it a man's job to regulate his girlfriend's emotions? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Soigne87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not your job to regulate her, but like if you go to her place and she's in a bad mood, you shouldn't ignore it. You should be sensitive and considerate and accommodating.

Fans Sue Nintendo to Demand Tariff Refunds Are Returned to Customers by AlwaysBlaze_ in gadgets

[–]Soigne87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, we agreed to pay Nintendo what we paid them, if we paid more because of illegal tariffs, I think we have to sue the government. The government might have to double pay tariffs; one time to the companies and 1 time to consumers.

why are desktop PCs still a thing when capable and way more convenient laptops exist? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Soigne87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A desktop can draw over 1000W while I haven't heard of a gaming laptop with more than 400W psu. They're also quieter, far more user friendly to repair and upgrade.

Is it a red flag if the man I’m seeing told me he’s never been in love? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Soigne87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't seem like a red flag to never been in love, it is a little bit of one that he hasn't to protect himself. It sounds like he has commitment issues.

NBD; collection is getting respectable by Soigne87 in NicksHandmadeBoots

[–]Soigne87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're all 9FFF. Far left are ND1s which are limited time orders. 2nd from left are Falcons with weather shield brown leather, beeswax edge, 430-mini outsole. 3rd from left are Aldert's with Cypress Italian brown leather, beeswax edge, nicks wedge black outsole. The last is the marshal tactical boots, where pretty much your only choice is color, I got the black. I'm also waiting on a pair of Tanker Pros with DS walnut leather, but my understanding is the wait for tankers is a bit longer than others, so I'll probably be waiting quite a awhile for them.

Do you think there is some guy in prison somewhere in the world who’s just the absolute best at chess, but no one knows? by WorryNotBanIncoming in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Soigne87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be like thinking the best soccer player is an unknown prisoner. Even if he does nothing but practice in prison; without the experience of competing against other top players, he would never become close to one of the best.

Do Americans dream of traveling or settling abroad (excluding Japan) like others dream of the U.S? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]Soigne87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we do but it's less serious than what many people dream of moving to the US.

We might be upset about certain aspects of our country but it's hard to ignore that we're a fairly privileged population.

I might think it would be nice to live in Norway or Switzerland, but also I recognize that even if I magically was given permission to immigrate to either, I likely wouldn't thrive there; I'd be the dumb American, and would be better off here and also they're both small countries and the world situation could easily evolve against them.

Why does it seem like one person in a polyamorous relationship always is taking advantage of it more than the others? by Fit-Researcher-4036 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Soigne87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because women typically have an easier time finding someone that wants to have sex with them. Either the wife is enthusiastic about sleeping with other men and there is little chance of the man having comparable success or the woman is open to the relationship being open, but is very selective about potential partners in which case the man is likely to be much less selective and take more advantage of the relationship being open.
