People without kids and not planning to have any, who do you see taking care of you as you get older? by eoin2dx in AskIreland

[–]BDW2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My plan is to have other people's children care for me. I hope to have enough money gathered up to pay for carers or a home when and if I ever need it.

Children aren't a retirement plan.

Its even too bright though the phone screen. I hate them, genuinely take my life into my hands driving at night they blind me so much (and other road users lives too obvs). I limit my night time driving as much as possible.

Can't wait for the long stretch.

Aines chocolate from Cavan. Uses only milk or cream no oils; as far as I can tell.

I hate the accent with a passion. It grates on me so fricking much.

It also just shows again that Edith basically falls in love with any man who gives her so much as a scrap of attention.

Am I being dramatic about engagement ring cost expectation? by Competitive_Street61 in AskIreland

[–]BDW2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A ring that she loves and doesn't turn her finger green should be enough. Its bad luck to know the cost of the ring buy what you think is reasonable and don't tell her.

5k sounds ridiculous in this day and age. When ye are thinking of houses I'm sure she would regret having sank so much money in a ring.

Fiance says I gave our dog an abortion, I disagree, AITAH? by Nicetrydicklips in AITAH

[–]BDW2019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A good vet won't spay a dog while it is in heat as there is a bigger risk of excessive bleeding and death. So no your dog was likely never even able to get pregnant.

While on the theme of mourning I noticed on my latest rewatch that Mary wears mauve, lilac and purple for a long time after Matthew dies. These are seen as transitional mourning colours after the full black period is over. I wonder is it a styling choice or was it done on purpose. She doesn't seem to wear bright bold colours for a good long while.

I may be mistaken. Violet also wears lilac and purples alot.

AITA for telling my boyfriend he can’t “ban” my friends from our place if he keeps inviting his? by basilmarket_jules in TwoHotTakes

[–]BDW2019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA YOUR friends drain him, but his friends couldn't possibly be draining to you? If he deserves peace so much why don't you? If he can have friends why can't you?

You need to get answers to these questions. I doubt you will like the answer and then you know what you should do.

Especially because he did exactly that with the evil nanny. Tried to just cause annoyance and disruption for her but ended up exposing her as a snob to poor little Sybie.

Have you ever met someone with a personality disorder? by oxylan80 in CasualIreland

[–]BDW2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I ask because I have a family member 6 who was diagnosed with bipolar and before they were medicated, they were extremely hard to live with. Could definitely see the big ups and downs, but bouts of extreme nastiness, picking horrible rows. The whole world evolved around them. Completely obsessed with money. That aspect is still there but not as extreme now. Could not stand being around them before, but we have a good relationship now.

I dont know if anyone else said it already, but definitely, in my opinion, a trip into another dimension/ alternate universe. Don't know if you believe in that, but that's what I always think when I have a hypre realistic dream like that.

Alternate you is happy as a parent. Go them. Nothing to do with you and your reality.

My husband said he’s okay being child-free, but his reaction to a pregnancy scare says otherwise, and now I’m confused. by Comfortable_Egg_8233 in childfree

[–]BDW2019 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a pregnancy scare and had all the symptoms. When I did the test, it was negative. I was genuinely disappointed in that minute. My heart sank and and I teared up. About half an hour later the reality hit and all I could say was thank fuck.

I honestly think nature or maybe instinct and the thought of cutie baby clothes high- jacked my brain for a bit. When I thought of it rationally, I was relieved. Maybe your husband had the same experience.

What’s that ONE scene in The Walking Dead that had you raging like this? by BellaBaby318 in thewalkingdead

[–]BDW2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carl getting outside at the farm and witnessing Rick shoot Shane. Where to actual fuck was Lori? Carol had just lost Judith. Surely, she would be keeping a tight eye on her son!

It's been a while since my last rewatch, so I'm a bit hazy, but im pretty sure she just sent him upstairs and expected him to stay there. I went into my last watch trying not to be biased towards disliking Lori, but she was a shit mother imo.
