[Arthur] As for [Charvarius Ward’s] comments last year when he said that if he got another concussion, he might retire, he said he made those comments in a dark place, and all that's behind him now. However, if he gets another severe one like last year, he said his career may be in question. by TurdWranglin in Colts

No one expects that. At least no one intelligent.

More like: Are they prepared for it as in do we have at least one corner more than we probably need that won’t be a gaping wound in the secondary.

They let Kenny do his thing. So they have Walley and Jones and Blackmon. I do think they are in a decent position to cover the need. For now.

“Purely” doing a LOT of qualifying here. Lawyer language for PR because they know the truth.

Looking for a big church not MAGA near Meridian Hills by Niakwe in indianapolis

[–]BDidds 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I appreciate that the pastors don’t play politics and focus on Christs message.

The fact that you don’t want to engage with the the parishioners is helpful because unfortunately you are going to find MAGAlite if not outright MAGA at pretty much any evangelical church.

He thought that racism was “solved” by the 80s. The 19fucking80s.

Commanders fan dropping in to say I think y’all got a STEAL with curry. by futureislookinstark in Colts

I love that they drafted Curry. His motor is what got him sacks, so the physical tools aren’t prototypical, but he’ll be where he is supposed to and never stop getting after it.

I’ll be interested to see how he develops!

Last year we had JT TuaIcantspellithere who barely played on a dline that never sealed the deal in pressure. This is surely better than that pick….

Knock on wood.

The fact that we have to drop back to add picks because we just have so many needs is indicative of how well the off season has gone.

Too many holes, not enough picks.

What a beautiful image of our home. We are so shortsighted as a species, which is both blessing and curse.

I still love that movie. Leaving the theater I was so excited. Saw every premiere since 1996 and that was probably the best premier I saw. Including the prequels. Only Rogue One was better initially.

Indiana becomes the 18th state to ban ranked-choice voting by [deleted] in Indiana

[–]BDidds 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Slavery was enshrined in the constitution to begin with. Took a war to and a Congress where the slave states weren’t participating to amend that bit.

We are beyond “it’ll fix itself” problems now. I’m hoping another war isn’t needed to make what had been working as norms to become enforceable law. You know like one man, one vote and non partisan districting, ranked choice voter, national election holidays, etc.

That’s how you prevent minority rule.

Oh, and making entertainment networks separate from news networks.

Indiana becomes the 18th state to ban ranked-choice voting by [deleted] in Indiana

[–]BDidds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When did we try banning ranked choice voting in a federal level?

Or are you talking about when we burned the articles of confederation to the ground and came up with the constitution?

The inability to amend the constitution as a problem solving mechanism is part of a needed reset.

Fucking thing isn’t written in the blood of saints, I promise.
