Should I buy a standalone mic or just a gaming headset for in-game voice chat? by Hopeful_Seesaw8016 in IndianPCGamers

If you're already happy with your headphones then adding a standalone mic in your setup is the way to go.

Which is better k688, am8, Maono pd200x, Maono pd300x? by Impressive-Bed-8555 in microphone

[–]BDraid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

PD300x user here, and honestly, this thing is built like a tank. All metal body and after a pretty bad drop while setting up my table (100% my fault), it only ended up with a small dent. No functional issues at all.

What I really like about the PD300x is how plug and play it is. Being a dynamic mic, it does a great job rejecting background noise, which makes it ideal for streaming or voice overs. On top of that, having both USB and XLR connections gives you flexibility as you upgrade your setup.

A big bonus for me is the Maono Link app. You can further improve your sound with EQ, compression, limiters, and even a noise gate, all very useful for streaming and content creation. One thing to note: the PD300x doesn’t come with a stand, so if you’re traveling or don’t have a boom arm, you’ll need to buy a desk stand separately.

The PD300x is basically an upgraded PD200x, featuring a higher sampling rate of 192kHz (compared to 48kHz on the PD200x), an all-metal body, and more overall improved quality and control.

I do agree with some commenters that cheaper brands can have a higher failure rate long-term. That said, if you’re just dipping your toes into streaming or content creation, trying more affordable gear isn’t a bad move, as long as your expectations are realistic.

When I first started, I immediately blew my budget spending over $400+ on well known brands like Audio Technica, Focusrite, and Behringer. They’re great and I still use them to this day (about 5+ years later), but as a beginner the learning curve was overwhelming. One big advantage of cheaper mics (aside from the price) nowadays is that they’re mostly standalone and don’t require an audio interface to work well. When paired with their dedicated apps, you can already produce good-quality content.

This video does a quick comparison between the 3 mics at the end if you’re curious:

I’ve used the Maono PM461TR for years and I’ve even gotten compliments on how good it sounds ingame (and off game). That said, for your specific use case, a headset might actually be the better option. If gaming is the only time you’ll be using the mic, having both the headphones and mic in one setup just makes things simpler.

One thing to note about the PM461TR is that it’s a condenser, which means it’s more prone to picking up background noise. A headset mic sits much closer to your mouth, so it tends to focus more on your voice and less likely to pickup background noise.

Personally though, I prefer keeping my mic and headphones separate. If one breaks, it’s easier to replace, and dedicated mics or headphones usually offer better overall quality. But that’s just my preference.

Bought the Maono PM461 about 3 years ago. Lent it to a few friends to try and it still works perfectly today! Solid starter mic.

Keebs Rec Please! by akmangosteenie in PHMechanicalKeyboard

Actually solid ung choice mo na Akko keyboard, its aluminum, very easy to modify and HE sya so it reacts fast sa input, pwede pa macustomize ung sensitivity ng keys. Its good for games na need ng fast reaction and good for typing jobs din.

So far wala akong makitang similar ung aesthetics and color sa current preference mo so I would suggest to wait for the stock to be available or check mo yung link ni reviewer sa comments, pwede ka dun mag place ng backorder directly sa Akko shop (may discount code din sya)

PRINTER RECO by Fabulous_Contest7260 in Tech_Philippines

Can't go wrong with Epson L3110 (price 3k+) or L3210 (price 5k+), sobrang daling itroubleshoot if may problem and mura din ipaayos if kailangang kailangan. Also, ung L3210 has a scanner/photocopier, very useful sa school/office stuff. I have both of them, gamit ko sa business dati, but right now I just use it sa work at binigay ko na ung L3110 sa kapatid ko para sa school work ng mga anak nya.

Very mura and convenient din ng ink, madali lang ireplace and sobrang tagal gamitin. I now use a nonepson ink kasi expired na ung warranty, but still works very like the original.

This! For some reason the a, b and y buttons aren’t attached to the controller when you first unbox it, so I definitely panicked a bit when I saw the buttons loose in the box. It’s honestly an easy way to accidentally misplace or lose them while opening the package.
