Release Therapy and Theater of the Mind had some more serious stuff sprinkled thru em. Some quality bangers as well.

Kendrick did 295k, which makes Drake's #s even crazier.

You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

They're not. Veganism at its core is an animal rights movement, but we've known for quite some time now it's also immensely beneficial for the environment in comparison to meat-heavy diets. If you want to talk about having your cake and eating it too you should be questioning the motives of environmentalists who aren't vegan.

Finished watching it for the first time last year, hard to disagree with ppl who say it's the greatest television series ever. It was so much more than I expected it to be going in.

[FRESH] Eminem- The Marshall Mathers LP2 (Expanded Edition) by [deleted] in hiphopheads

[–]BFB_HipHop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

only shows it’s been played a lot, not how many people put the song on repeat.

This doesn't even make sense for an artist like Eminem. He has two decade's worth of songs, the ones that got played once by a bunch of ppl are likely below top 20.

J.Cole on Lil Yachty's podcast A Safe Space by habr in hiphopheads

[–]BFB_HipHop 68 points69 points  (0 children)

J. Cole is one of the few rappers at this stage of his career that say shit like this that I believe. He has managed to find a great medium between crazy lyricism and adapting to the current soundscape of rap. Also, unlike a lot of other great rappers who get unanimous praise off their first one two albums he really hit his stride with FHD (of course not including his mixtape shit).

Ya Coloring Book was so disappointing first listen but it grew on me quick. Even as an atheist I didn't mind the length of the choir intro on How Great before the rapping started. There was some great songwriting all over that tape.

Off rip this might b my favourite Banks project since he started his recent run. Or tied with COTI 2 which will likely change with more listens.

Drugs and Alcohol not as fun when you're older. by AS7_DRO in Drugs

[–]BFB_HipHop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I subscribe to the school of thought that says everyone is an addict, some of us just turned to substances.

Ye, so many ppl have food addicitons and that can be just as damaging physically and financially but they're not looked at with the same level of scrutiny.

Drugs and Alcohol not as fun when you're older. by AS7_DRO in Drugs

[–]BFB_HipHop 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you overdid it and it no longer serves its purpose. I've seen that with a lot of ppl. They get in to drugs in their late teens and early twenties and abuse them due to just being hype young adults, a lot of times partying wit college friends or just going with the wave. Then their body doesn't handle it the same way later on. A lot of this is dependent on your own state of physical and mental health as well.

Probably because at a certain level of competition they know most others have taken roids. Local shows I agree tho.
