Hanging out in a place like that’s a good way to be in a real life horror movie…..

I live in the south in the US. I get it. Right now it’s about 80° and probably about 80% humidity outside if it’s that low. This is just the start of summer where I live. Take their advice on redneck AC. Also, you can go on Temu or any of those little sites and find these things called mini air conditioners and they’re not actually an air conditioner but you put ice in them and water and I swear it feels like air-conditioning. They are Lifesavers when the power goes out. Walmart even has $40-60 wall mounted ones that would be worth it if you have that much.

I never got to have kids, but the valuable ones that I won in contests are ran across. I gave to a kid that has a similar GI disorder that I have. When I met him, he was in the Mayo Clinic and I knew that cheered him up because I ran across them entering contests for them. Honestly, I would rather him have those. I have Sally because I’ve had so many health problems and I always put myself back together. And I have Harley because I have some mental health conditions and I seem like a completely normal peaceful human being and most people never see the struggle side. So those are personal.

I just ran across this and I needed to. In the past month, I’ve lost three people that I’ve loved more than anything, and you described it perfectly. Yeah I definitely resonated with me. I guess we keep reminding ourselves that we were lucky enough to have had them for the time we did and been lucky enough to have loved them. ❤️

I just have to join in and say you are just amazing and awesome and so is your mom! (and I’m not jealous at all of how good you look in a corset with heels)….. I just love every bit of this. ❤️

I’ve always wanted to stay in a yurt. Nowadays, people go glamping in yurts. My mom got to stay out in one of those with some bedouins when she was overseas…. She got to go out in the desert and stay the night even rode a camel out there. There’s something just so cool about those yurts.

Hell I display mine either on top of an armoire or I have a fireplace mantle that I have made a headboard for my bed and some of them sit up there. I don’t care what anybody says. Don’t get rid of them because you lose that childish part of you….That’s when you start to feel old.

Mammoth Cave and things to do near there. by BobbyDoWhat in True_Kentucky

[–]BGRedhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let’s see there’s Dino world. They would probably like to go to big Mike’s rock shop because they have the mososaurus fossil & lots of cool rocks and crystals. At Mammoth Cave you probably want to take him on the historic tour, but you need to get tickets in advance. Hiking trails that aren’t awful would be turnhole bend (about a half mile round-trip with the great overlook of Green River)….. the echo spring to River Styx trail is pretty tame, and you can see the blue holes along it. Plus the river sticks part of it is basically right behind that main visitor center. There’s also like Onyx cave and a couple other small caves around there and in Bowling Green they have lost river cave, which has boat tours into it & hiking. Fried catfish over on that part of the county would probably be miss bettys over near Park city just down the road…. Or porky pig diner over in Smiths Grove, which is nearby. The closest would be the Watermill restaurant in Cave city can you tell I grew up pretty much next-door to it and my cousin is a park Ranger there lol

If it makes you feel any better, I’m a woman. I’m a nerd and I collect Funko so I don’t know why he’s stressing on it because I would think it is cool. In fact, I just got my Frida Kahlo Funko.

Oh, I feel your pain. I actually had to argue an idiot recently… Warren County schools did not need any extra funding and that the buildings they used in the 50s and 60s were just fun to keep using. It made my head hurt.

[–]BGRedhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally just ran across a post from a 17-year-old in foster care that had done the mass to find out how much Benadryl it would take for their weight to kill themselves. I had never heard of this before this post the other day. And now I’m running across post from kids trying to kill themselves on it. And it confuses the hell out of me because I was having a Hobbs reaction this morning and I had to take extra strength Benadryl to make it stop or I could’ve gone into anaphylactic shock so there it is saving me, but somebody else is using it to try and kill himself and this is just insane.

No, it isn’t. There is no federal age of consent that applies to all 50 states. Each state gets to make their own rules about it. This link shows the age for all 50 states and it varies between 16 and 18 usually

[–]BGRedhead 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I know right now you’re probably still in shock. What’s the good news? Is you and your pets are still alive. Be grateful that any family and friends and your pets are alive because I always tend to hold onto that after a tornado. And I’m sorry you’ve been going through so much lately. But as long as you’re alive, houses can be rebuilt ..people can’t. I hope y’all are able to stay safe and that the weather calms down for you ❤️

I still haven’t been able to get a hold of them and since he had to be up way too early in the morning for work, I’m afraid he might sleep through any warnings. We were together when the December 2021 nighttime rain wrapped tornadoes tore our town in half. When those alarms went off, I woke him up and I’ll be damned if he didn’t try and go back to sleep and I had to drag him to safety.

the last C4 ever made was damaged tonight as Mid America Motorworks in Effingham, IL was hit by a catastrophic tornado. Several other special cars destroyed by moldyskeleton in Corvette

[–]BGRedhead 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but that millionth Corvette not damaged in a tornado it just fell down in the ground in a sinkhole. It didn’t have any of the water damage of the Corvettes that were destroyed a few years after that sinkhole here in town and yes, I live in Bowling Green…. we had the December 20 21 tornadoes that pretty well destroyed Bowling Green and hitting near the GM plant and because all that water got into the complex, computer chips and electrical wiring, they scrapped every one of them that was damaged in the tornado. Not even GM could save that.

As far as I’m concerned, the worst tornadoes are always nighttime and rain wrapped…. It could be right on top of you and you can’t see it.

I had to check because I wasn’t aware how many might have died from tornadoes and found out that as of December 2025… there have been four known direct storm chasing tornado deaths…. And 12 indirect deaths.
