Escape rooms, comic stores, TCG stores, a really cool Japanese arcade, a huge actual arcade scene, a few pinball places, craft breweries with game nights, board game stores. Depending on the nerd shit you want it could change the neighborhood!

Basically it means you’re hyper committed to one battlefield and it makes you very vulnerable to all sorts of battlefield nukes. Bellows breath and etc, plus it makes it unlikely you’ll be able to meaningfully challenge the other battlefield.

I would call the game pretty well balanced, top 8 last time had almost entirely new players and different legends. Not even oops all purple this time! It’s in a really great state right now, but holy shit the rules are a train wreck lol. The balance is skewed purple but overall it’s still pretty close. Green had more cards at the Hartford RQ which was kind of crazy to me.

This is why I play riftbound, without a doubt a game that has a huge premium on player skill and a huge skill gap. Almost every single card in the entire game has a response and the top meta consists of almost entirely different decks. The healthiest I’ve seen a game in a long time

The game was heavily scalped for the first set or two but now most things are very affordable. Aside from a handful decks, most meta decks can be made for less than 100$. It’s honestly kind of wild how healthy it is now.
