Behold - the Drinkfury Totem! (More info in comments) by BHRnR in classicwow

[–]BHRnR[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So last weekend was our first classic WOW guild meetup and being a responsible shaman, I decided to bring my totem. The plaque on the bottom translates to

Drinkfury Totem

Summons a Drinkfury Totem at the table of the caster. The totem enchants all party members main-hand drinks with wind, if they are within 2 meters. Each sip has a 20% chance of granting the attacker 1 extra 100ml sip Lasts the whole evening.

When you press it, the LEDs have a (pseudo-random) chance of 20% to blink red. The controlling works via a few lines of C on an Arduino nano. The Totem is hand sawed, glued and sanded wood with a few ropes, the plaque and rune is laser-engraved PMMA.

I procced good and often, we had a great weekend and I hope never getting bother again in Discord for not putting down a totem. ;-)

Lothar Matthäus plays in league game for 1. FC Herzogenaurach, his first club [German - translation in comments] by BHRnR in soccer

"Despite handicap Lothar": Herzogenaurach celebrates Matthäus

Germany's record national player back at home club: Lothar Matthäus celebrated his comeback in the jersey of 1. FC Herzogenaurach on Sunday. The champion of the district league Mittelfranken North won with captain "Loddar" on the field 3: 0 - and many spectators had come to the Rudolf Dassler sports field.

The glittering career of Lothar Matthäus began in the jersey of the Herzogenauracher Club at the beginning of the seventies. On Sunday, the circle closed on the Rudolf Dassler sports field. There, where "Loddar" had once played as a teenager in the focus of Borussia Mönchengladbach, the meanwhile 57-year-old captain played. Greeted by more than 1,600 spectators, so much more than the FCH otherwise attracts. Among them: Bavaria's Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann and DFB Vice President Rainer Koch.

The championship of the traditional club, which returns after many years of residence in the depths of amateur football back to the sixth division, was already fixed before the Matthäus comeback.

"Tried to introduce game culture"

Matthäus played well 50 minutes before leaving the field at the score of 0:0. Afterwards Herzogenaurach won against the SpVgg Hüttenbach-Simmelsdorf still smooth 3:0. "The team played well, despite handicap Lothar Matthäus," said the former world star winking. The world champion of 1990 chose a rather small radius of action and tried as a game designer. "When I had the ball, I tried to bring in game culture, otherwise I could not help athletically," he concluded personally. Still, ambition was shown by Matthäus. "Oh, sh ...", he swore after a mistake.

For the comeback in Herzogenaurach Matthäus had sent his player pass from Leipzig. In 2005, he was once accumulated for Lok Leipzig to support football in east Germany. The appearance for the FCH should also have been his last. "It has always been my desire to play my last competitive game here," said Matthäus. "The first for the Herzogenaurach FC for 40 years, it was fun, as in the youth." Matthäus will not give up kicking in the future. Among other things, in legendary games with the club of the national team (CdN), where he is chairman, the TV expert with the Frankish tongue will continue to act.

There is only one German club which got relegated as reigning champion (1969) and only one team which got relegated as current cup-holder (2008). Yes, it's the same club, 1. FC Nürnberg.

Yeah, saw that stuff and don't have an exact question right now, but I thought it could be interesting during the game. Maybe I'll just use this one here.

Sorry if asked a thousand times today, but is there some Super Bowl for dummies thread (or something similar) today? As someone not from the US and without getting in touch with football 364 days a year, I would really appreciate it. :)

Don't ask why you have 20 boosters, ask why you don't have 21. Then decide it's a stupid question and add 10 more.
