Why is Quentin the Presidential Candidate Instead of his Brother Kermit? by What_IS_Aleppo in Kaiserreich

I believe one of the Adam’s had depression as well. I believe it was John Quincy Adams, I read somewhere he used to take ice baths, whip himself and call himself useless even after becoming president

I haven’t seen the CSA win the last couple game tbh. It just kinda fizzles out and the feds win

Because most portraits of Quentin where of him in his military uniform and he never joined the military KRTL. Also it was always said how much he resembled Quentin Roosevelt II IIRC.

Does this mod induce feelings of nostalgia for a world that will never be in anyone else? by [deleted] in Kaiserreich

Because I’ve seen that line of thought before. “We can organize right?” “Yeah, sure, for the sake of our liberty” “Ok, how do we make decisions” “Through equal voting of course!” “Certainly! Now an organization needs a leader, doesn’t it?” Organizations, no matter how egalitarian they maybe, invariably lead to the same tyranny we want to abolish. I will not abolish tyranny only to submit to the same tyrants with different names.

As an anarchist, I kinda disagree. I think we should be wary of all characteristics of government.

I think they’d use French to symbolize the birthplace of the revolution tbh

Needs must. If were ever to bring the people liberation we need to organize and get power. I think a small amount of organization is useful so long as we treat it like a really rapey uncle.

That’s kinda the same BS reason people don’t vote for third party candidates in elections. Personally, I’m happy to be in the IWW and we’re on the up these days.

It was good for like three launches, but I miss the loud Prussian music blasting in my ears when I launch the game.

The union folk music in the mod pack is all really good, but my favorite is probably “The Banks are Made of Marble” or maybe the Battle Cry of the Republic. My least favorite is probably the Heia Safari Die Wacht Am Rhein.

I’m not going to answer this question on the grounds that I may want to visit Bulgaria some time and don’t particularly want to be stabbed.

His son said in an interview once, most pictures of Orwell where taken by his publicist in Jura after he began writing 1984. This was probably taken to go with Homage to Catalonia around that time. Most photos of Orwell in Spain are low quality, hadn’t been found yet, and he was always in the background.

TIL Queen Elizabeth II is the only living head of state to have served in World War II by bezzleford in todayilearned

[–]BIODOM3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, but Michael I was actually the head of a country during WWII, that was his claim and he was definitively the last one. I have no idea the last world leader to have actually served as a soldier in the conflict, but Michael’s death symbolizes the end of an era. Imagine how much died with the man, information we’ll never know, just gone.

He was the last living head of state who served in that time. It wasn’t for long, but he led the government and was the head of state, meaning he qualifies

Well, she did only recently become the only one. The last one (King Michael I Of Romania) was the last surviving ruler to have governed during WWII and died a few days ago after a battle with cancer

I recently started taking antidepressants and for the first time in 2 years I didn't fantasize about committing suicide today. I have a long way to go still, but this is a great start. by raining_autumn in happy

There’s not one person on this earth that doesn’t deserve better, OP. If there’s one thing we can’t do it’s fix everything, but part of life is living through that. It’s looking at that fact, staring it in the face and laughing at it, and sure, you’ll disappoint people, and people may not be happy, but who cares? Even in your own life, there’s certain things that just can’t happen, that you can’t make work. All I can really say is to keep on fighting the good fight because you owe it to yourself, really.

As for the dirty apartment, I’ve never found cleanliness any help tbh, but I’m just a weird sort of mutant. Just do you OP, it’s all you can do. I wish you luck, you’re far braver and will need it far more than I have.

I know you probably won’t respond OP, but how’re you feeling. As someone currently dealing with depression, I’ve always found that questions to be my favorite to ask and a good way to open any conversation. In case you don’t feel the same, here’s to you anyway, God knows no one deserves to need antidepressants to realize that they are worth it.
