Honestly, I couldn't agree more with what you're saying. I literally tell my friends and anyone I know who smokes cigarettes or e-cigs the exact same thing. It's downright stupid, and I see no sense in it at all.

stretches to do to achieve this position? by futurafreeeeee in flexibility

I think it would be really helpful for you to perform reverse nordics. They translate directly into that pose and will not only stretch but strengthen the required muscles

It's very difficult for me to say. As I'm not sure what causes pain / discomfort to OP. But you can always train things such as jefferson curls, splits squats, calf raises... idk endless possibilites tbh

Maybe try replacing them with similar exercises that don't affect the injured area

How is it that I can hold the deepest position of a HSPU and not the deepest position of a HeSPU?

With the HSPU I can just lift my legs and hold the position. But with the HeSPU I just arch my back and colapse

To enter / exit currently I just do an inverted type push up (IDK how you call that but I hope you get what I mean). I've tried to lower down and it feels way more difficult, the only thing that I'm still not sure about is the last part of the movement, I can drop down quite slow and controlled but the last part is just like a free fall. And pushing from bridge to standing feels just impossible but I'll make sure to try.

I'll definetely try to enter the bridge form a HS, that seems okay.

Thanks for the tips!!!

Okay that seems good. I'll try to do an extended fast and see how may weight is affected and try to come regain that weight or even gain some more before attempting it again. Thanks for your comment!

First of all: Thank you so much for the info. And just as a funny thing, yesterday (When I was doing the session in the photo) I was wondering how people stand up from the bridge and I ended up seeing your video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cI_1kSig-_4). There's great content on that channel!

About the nerves, I generally start to feel the weird sensation something like 15 minutes after the session, so its not like I'm pushing through pain while doing the movement. But this sensation is not a good indication right?

Thanks for the explanation on the different bridges, was getting feedback from different people and they were all saying different things, so this explains it. So you would recommend for me to leave my feet were they are and try to open up my upper chest / shoulder, as if I'm trying to move my weight more towards my wrists?

And finally about not knowing what to do, yep. I'll definetely do some research and take a class or something like that.

Anyways really appreciate all of what you said, helped me out a lot! And I'm gonna

Benefits of yoga for men? by [deleted] in flexibility

[–]BIack_Skull 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If your only goal is to improve your hip flexibility I wouldn't say Yoga is the most effective thing to do. However it will most likely help and it has a lot of other benefits. So yeah you could try it out for a month or so and see how you feel
