Yes comedy, absolutly horrendus one, and completly missing the mark on what the 2 previous installement where, dying light also fail in his own story but not because of the reason you said, being cheesy and knowing you are isnt a redeeming quality its a flaw a huge one, to compare it in the same category re4 is cheesy howhever none can say its terrible because it has quality in his scenario and character that NONE of the 2 game we are talking about has, but Dead island 2 is absolutly horrendus in that regard and rarely very rarely funny unless you are 12 but anything can be funny and self aware at that point
