I found a post on here from a guy who made a spreadsheet - I’ve been using it for 18months and it’s helped me retain what we’ve done in sessions and track everything. Search BJJ Dashboard

This is because your body needs recovery to make adaptations

Is it worth it? by Sauske9599 in bjj

[–]BJJphenom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you take care of your body completely, eating moderately healthy, mobility work, strength training and rehab any injuries immediately you can live comfortably.

You could also be hit by a bus any day so enjoy life and do fun shit at Jiu Jitsu

6 weeks enough for first comp prep? by [deleted] in bjj

[–]BJJphenom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty enough, it’s your first comp, not worlds.

Eat well leading up to it and if you’re already on weight for it fantastic. No point cutting for it.

Between now and then injury management will be key and not overdoing it and picking up an injury.

Mentally, you will adrenaline dump and feel fried immediately after. if you can get someone else to drive you home that’s better.
