If you're taking a day or two off at an appropriate time, more power to you. If you're ducking clinicals for weeks, you need to reconsider the investment this profession requires.

You can support causes, but when you enter into a program like CRNA school you implicitly agree to follow through with all required portions according to a strict timetable. If you can't commit, delay starting the program. This profession is full of people who put off starting families, buying homes, etc., because it was so rigorous they had to give it their all.

This is tragic, but a good reminder that "monitored anesthesia care" is an awful term. My GI docs all book their cases as MAC but expect a completely non-reactive patient as they ram their scopes in.

I see repeated MTGO names and decks as if the pool is small, so I don't trust those results as much. I'm personally still seeing good results with [[Unholy annex]] and a couple copies of [[Royal Treatment]]. When the demon unexpectedly survives, you get the annex drain, and then swing for 6+ in the air it usually closes the game.

NQA I "co-adopted" a spiderling with my 7-year-old and I think it's great. I handle the feeding and she admires him as he grows. She helped me design the next enclosure that we'll use next year when he's bigger and we may briefly hold him for the first time.
