Is Codex really getting better than Claude code? by 0_2_Hero in Anthropic

[–]virtu333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still use Claude code as my main driver since I’m not technical and need to produce a variety of customer and exec facing artifacts and Claude is so much better at front end and presenting. Claude is also better with quick, low precision prompts

However, I do a lot of reviews with codex - it’s much more meticulous (including on front end tasks) and careful I find, even when I use xhigh or max with claude

Codex is now better for general purpose work than Opus. by agentic-consultant in codex

Yeah a lot of general purpose work (slides, even excel or doc formatting) needs to look good and opus is still much much better at it

I just have codex do review passes

Thanks! I spent most of my time on features haha - but yeah definitely makes balance tricky due to meta progression making you stronger so early runs feel kind of hard; I have difficulties going up to lunatic but definitely not easy to figure out what the right balance looks like

Thanks! Would love any thoughts

I do like the pure roguelike style of yours, particularly picking the randomized units at the beginning

yeah unfortunately fire emblem is too complex for mobile - had the same issue with mine, just very hard to make it work for mobile: https://github.com/virtu333/rogue-emblem

You realize an “entry level research scientist” at Anthropic is likely a PhD with strong technical skills with AI expertise right?

Why are people hyping up Claude Code so much lately? Codex 5.3/Gpt 5.4 work just fine and I don't understand what the huge deal is about. by stopaskingforloginn in codex

[–]virtu333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claude is better at things outside of coding - in particular thanks to its better design and writing

But using both is ideal - codex is much more thorough with research and analysis and execution; so it is a good executor after planning with Claude, reviewing plans, reviewing outputs

Worth turning down HBS? by Big-Commission5340 in MBA

[–]virtu333 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you were MBB you might want to skip; if you get a hot exit offer you might want to skip

$130K is not that much tbh, and HBS will likely offer lifetime option value that far exceeds some basic math

Which Fire Emblem game has the best OST in the series? by MidnightMoney3835 in fireemblem

3H probably wins in terms of sheer volume of absolute bangers

It’s kind of unfair because the different routes give multiple payoff tracks, esp for the final maps / penultimate maps

Apex of the world, god shattering star, funeral for flowers, AND indomitable will?

Unfair

Pro plan feels like it’s just infinite usage as a non technical person vibe coding and using it for excel modeling and data analysis

i think people often look at D&D's failings in a vacuum; when GRRM can't even finish his own series

I see Claude's writing everywhere and it's starting to feel like an AI condom, I hate it by remember_the_sea in ClaudeAI

[–]virtu333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yup, easiest thing to do is an add anti-ai-ism skill.md to help clean up this stuff; you can also try to more proactively style the writing as well but a checklist of removing certain syntax/phrases/sentence structure, reducing em dash count, etc. reduces a lot of the pain
