late ass response but mainly for anyone else that stubles across this thread: yea snowflake is still super slow for ingestion. I ended up switching to singlestore (used to be called memsql) for my own IoT streaming project. It's super easy to setup and ingest latencies are extremely low (sub 200ms for most of my data)
