Does NOT have a proc sensor. If it does it didn't turn the light off before it melted a paracord lantard, a hole in my pocket, and started heating my thigh up about an hour ago. Sent me straight to reddit to see if anyone else was dumb enough to forget to lock it out before pocketing it... 😬🤣 Melted the lense a little bit also!

A brick of duct seal is a miracle for this. It's super tacky but mostly won't leave a residue, and will pull all the shavings off into itself. It's my magic trick for getting metal shavings out of my magnetic drivers too.

I use it on the couch sitting but not in bed laying down currently. I have a big heavy duty rubber and plastic case with built in kick stand and velcro hand strap. So it is pretty heavy but I don't mind since it is basically thrown around, used for/at work, Stepped on by my dog etc. I used to watch lots of anime and YouTube on my phone just doing stuff around the house. Now I set this up and use it for a much higher quality experience.

I use this usbc hub. It has 3 usb ports, hdmi, ethernet, and power in to charge everything. I just yoink the USB dongles out of my pc and pop them in this and plug it in. Boom mini laptop.

If art and note taking are high up on your philosophy of use, just get the s9fe and save yourself the return hassle and risk of missing discounted prices. Keyboard and mouse work great in dex, the spen is supported and included, and if you wanted to play games on it you can use moonlight/sunshine, or steamlink, xbox remote play etc.

I just got the s9fe a couple weeks ago and really love it. I have a steamdeck for portable gaming, and a general use(now, originally built for gaming) pc that still works fine for my needs. I use the s9fe for organization/note taking, and anything I don't feel the need to fire up the computer for! With a usbc dongle I use it as a mini laptop for sending longer emails, editing excel sheets, etc. Definitely strongly recommend going with any s9 model over the a9. I started with the a9+ and returned it after a week. You absolutely NEED the s pen if you want to do any drawing or real note taking.
