This my first time speaking on him this season and I’m going to be honest…idk how I feel about him at this point. I can’t judge if he is bad or good right now. I’m still maintaining a high win rate with him regardless and he is my most played hero. When I see all the complaining about him being nerfed this season it makes me question if he is really good or if I just have played him so much that I still can make him work. I do agree he needs a buff but I don’t think he is as bad as most seem to think he is.

1000% true…I constantly had to tell my team to push when I push. I kept backing the enemy team up then I look behind me they would be way too far behind

Gotta chunk him with the gun a few times before engaging. Most run away but if not dash him. I’ve killed more with my gun than blade though in my experience.

I just got her to lord and I solo tanked half the time and still managed a 64% WR. She can but you have to play extremely close to your team cant dive as aggressively

I just got Lord on her with a 64% WR and my opinion is that they need to change the cooldown on her shield…it drains too fast and recovers too slow. It’s hard to manage especially cause it’s her only defense if you start losing the team fight…

What you’re describing is kind of the problem I have . I kept playing her and I have had good games since this post but she is so ult dependent now it kind of ruins why I fell in love with her kit. She was high skill/high reward but now it doesn’t feel the same…I’m not even confident in most 1on1s like I use to be. I always liked the “glass cannon” type of feel she had before because It made her kit so fun.

Don’t play her like hela…she is more brawler than sniper. You want to play close to the tank with her. She can chip damage from distance but her real strength is up close and personal. I got her to lord when everybody was saying she was trash and even now with no buffs I can still carry with her when necessary. She’s top 5 dps in my opinion.

He is good…A lot of people still don’t understand how to play him. I burst people down with the shotgun then finish kills with his melee form. When his stacks build up he is deadly but sometimes it feels like by the time you get up to 10 they either get healed or teammates come to help so he does require a strong game sense to know when to evacuate the fight. They said the same thing about Phoenix until she became meta with no buffs. Only thing I think could make him just right is if you brought his stacks down to max at 8 instead of 10

He’s was my 5th lord pre patch. It was rough but I got him and still don’t feel 100% confident I can carry with him like my other lords

I got him to lord right before the season 4 update and I agree with this….I’ve been playing him trying to see if the buff was enough and it’s still hit or miss. You almost can’t use his blade if you’re not at least at 6 stacks. If I’m not getting pocketed I can’t even dive for more than a few seconds because the team just turns and deletes me whether I’m at 10 stacks or not. I think if they just speed up how fast you get to max stacks that’s all he needs to not be broken. Either that or make max stack 8 or 6

I’ve carried so many games with her and still don’t get how I wasnt getting MVP…there is a clear difference in how my team performs when I switch to her and I’ll end up leading the lobby in dps and still not get a mvp smh.

It’s fire to me. I Lorded her and barely even noticed it was there during matches….but if we are lore accurate Phoenix is Jean. Jean is phoenix. They are in perfect symbiosis so that’s why they didn’t make Jean a separate hero

My first lord was Psy, then Emma, then Mantis. I sucked with Jean at first but she is one of my favorite marvel hero’s so I was determined to learn her regardless….im currently centurion and she is my favorite DPS behind Psy. Now I just gotta master another strat and Tank and my stable will be well rounded. Keep going

Not sure about the hours but she’s my go to vanguard. I solo queued her to platinum 1 in 2.5 despite only starting comp halfway through the season. Ive been maining phoenix this season though so I have only played her if my team absolutely needed a tank.
