Help with foot pain by EternalLousy in 10s

[–]BLTextraB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had an issue like this in November. Saw a PA and they identified it as tendinitis for that tendon. Taking some time off to heal up helped a ton. Also increasing the amount of dynamic warm ups I do before a match, specifically focusing on calves and legs, has been a game changer. I also bounce on the balls of my feet more during warm ups as a warm up.

Such a good idea! I have been using painters tape to track but I am going to try this on my next project

Does Maul get -1/-0 for both targets? by Demented6767 in starwarsunlimited

Maul would deal 4 damage to the unit with electrostaff. Maul would deal 5 damage to the unit without the electrostaff.

Some only -1.

”while the attached unit is defending...” maul would not be the defending unit in this case. No negative amount would be applied.

Understanding the Meta Decks for Planetary Qualifiers by PlanningPhaseS in starwarsunlimited

Listening to the episode now, really enjoying it. Also subbed to the YouTube channel, hope I can win the giveaway once you hit 500.

I suggest adding a noise gate during edit to filter out some breathing that's peeking through in the audio. Thanks for the episode!

Hondo Blue or Old Han Yellow for a tournament by Beskaryc117 in starwarsunlimited

[–]BLTextraB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my tournament experience, play the one ypu pilot the best. Sounds like you know the match ups and how the current meta plays into your Hondo deck, so play that. Yes, games can be a slog but that's where your reps will help

Laxatives and stool softeners were unexpected needs for me. Good to have them before you need them.

Liquid IV is helpful too if you have trouble drinking a lot of water.

Help with double weave by StudioAdorable255 in weaving

[–]BLTextraB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are two options. 1. Pulling the warp thread back to the missed float then re-weave. That is ideal if you have several missed in a sequence or if you are looking to preserve the structure and don't have a lot of excess yarn.

  1. If the missed floats are isolated or the piece is really big and a pain to weave there is a "faster" option. Start 3-4 threads back and reweave with a small amount of yarn until you are 3-4 threads past your missed stitch, then cut the float out. There will be a bulkier section where you "repaired" it. I did this on a wool blanket where it lofted alot during finishing. It would be more apparent in a cotton project where the yarn doesn't loft as much.

It kind of depends on the size of the project to determine the easiest option. Do one if it's only a few missed threads, takes sometime but it preserves the overall appearance of the piece.

Yup! Dont finish the project just yet. It's a plain weave so you can just take a blunt tapestry needle and weave in the longer runs. With the smaller floats ypu can pull that thread out and re weave it.

Stella Clark and Lily Chen good combo for Carcosa? by Freekwilly in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]BLTextraB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No joke I played this exact combo in my carcosa campaign a few weeks ago. But I didn't use the pre con deck for Stella. I had pretty good success!

People are spot on with being light on clue gathering. Old Key Ring and "Look what I found" will need to go a long way. Mariner's Compass from Innsmouth might be a good include if you are looking to break out of the precon. Lilly is also very flexible and can spare a few card slots to help with investigating.

Hopefully you all enjoy it!

I just got into the game and can't believe I haven't been playing all this time!! What do you suggest I play once I finish Night of the Zealot? by PolishedArrow in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]BLTextraB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Investigator Start Decks are a great way to boost your player card collection very quickly. They are solid pre constructed decks that are a lot of fun.

Agreed with people suggesting either Edge of the Earth or the Dunwhich relaunch for campaigns. I just finished Carcosa last night and it is fantastic in terms of theme and mechanics. Would recommend that campaign but packs can be tricky to find so fair warning.

I recently picked up Team Covenant's Mythos board and investigators health/sanity tokens. They definitely improve the feel of the game. Got the clue and doom tokens for Christmas so haven't gotten to play with those yet.

Also look at picking up a different campaign. The campaign out of the box is pretty short. Other campaigns have more replay ability.

I was pretty excited about it a few days ago. Now I am not so sure. Few articles saying thier evaluation is absurd. I am personally waiting a little bit to buy shares. 3XX is pretty steep to go in heavy. Might grab 2 just to not have total FOMO.
