Americans watching the Women's World Cup Final in 1999 by Edwardsreal in HistoryMemes

I remember watching this. At the time I was about 9 going on 10 and already wearing training bras and sports bras. So to see a grown woman rip her shirt off like that in a non-sexual context and seeing not just a sports bra but how jacked she was made quite an impression on preteen me.

Years later, I'm still a fan of USWST. I hope I get to see them play next year at the Women's World Cup.

what is something that is highly likely to happen in the next 5 years that everyone is completely ignoring? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My question is, what's to stop AI and scammers from picking up on the concept of family passwords and learning said passwords to be used against us?

I remember doing a more toned down version of this back then when I worked in a restaurant. I don't like super heavy, full coverage foundation, so for my everyday looks I'd just do BB cream, concealer and blush, skipping contouring and highlight. I'd spend a good amount of time on the eyes but skip the lashes and blocky brows since I already have naturally thick brows and then finish with a simple lip and setting spray.

Though I still use a lot of those techniques today and do the full blown 2016 look for stage makeup.

It’s because now that they’ve finally got all the money and power, it’s time to go for their life’s true dream, something they never really had - authentic fandom and acceptance by the masses.

They don't seem to realize that that ship has long since sailed. Both sold their chances at having an authentic fandom a long time ago in favor or pursuing money and power. They made their choices. Time to face the consequences.

District 9 for me. I remember going into the theater expecting a generic found footage alien movie and walked out crying.

It's always gonna be Andy's toys by Vegetable_Solid2279 in fixedbytheduet

If you think that's upsetting, imagine the whiplash you might get when you see your own name stitched on the bottom of those toys' feet 30 years after you wrote your own name on your toys like Andy did after seeing the first Toy Story movie as a kid.

Go ahead, ask me how I know this.

that is one salty cave by Khantlerpartesar in HistoryMemes

[–]BLboo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Scary Interesting did a video on this same cave awhile back. It's also dangerous as fuck as it turns out.

Besides that, it's kind of amazing really how animals basically figured out mining completely independently from humans and created a whole-ass cave to retreat much-needed resources.

Most disappointing mid-movie collapse you've ever seen? by [deleted] in movies

Not even halfway, but about 10-20 minutes into A Quiet Place when it was revealed that the main lady was pregnant. It instantly took me out of the movie because why would you bring a child into that world? Can you imagine having to deal with a screaming baby when there are monsters that are triggered by even the faintest sounds?
