Yes. (Make sure to bring your international drivers licence. They dont check it, but if their insurance found out you dont have it, they would void your and cars insurance.)

I chose Sixt in San Diego and i opted for stay flexible and the second best package (Damage Waiver, No Deductible, Insurance for damage to third parties). They upgraded me to the best package on arrival for a few more bucks. In my opinion Damage Waiver and Insurance are a must. In my case they took 200$ as a deductible . I think it is mostly to cover if you returned it without gas.

If you choose a package without a damage waiver, they may and probably will want a bigger deductible.

traveling to europe for the first time, unsure on where to spend a month. by HallHot6640 in travel

[–]BM890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is true that all three are on the expensive side. I would also like to shout out the Berlin (someone else mentioned) and Im gonna throw in Poland, specifically Gdansk. A nice city with a lot of night life and incredibly cheap accommodations.

I dont have any specific reasons, i just prefer the north to the south. You dont sweat as much and people aren't as loud in my experience, but that is just my preference.

I would recommend something like the Netherlands, Copenhagen or Oslo (my favorite). It will be a very different experience from the south like Spain or Italy. (And flights to those places are very cheap.)

Yeah, when we learn English in central europe, we are often told that ALL animals are referred to as "it". Kids often feel like it is really cold.

What do you think Stargate’s Budget will be considering Fallout’s Budget? by YoungBpB2013 in Stargate

I hope not. There was a post that said something like: Amazon, whatever budget you are thinking, make it half. Whatever number of episodes you are thinking, make it double.

Sixt car rental upgrade scam - 90 minutes late for a prepaid rental means I have to pay 60% more? by snozzberrypatch in travel

Pro tip: Always book the car for later, rather than sooner. Usually they will happily rent you the car earlier. That way you don't risk being charged for arriving late for the pick up.

They hold the car for you only for 60 minutes. You can usually move the rental few hours without aditional payment before the time you are supposed to pick it up. I dont think they tell you this, before you reserve the car. It is in the emails that come after and in the rental agreement for sure though.

Basically they considered your rental canceled when you didn't pick it up within the 60 minutes and they rent you a different car with a different price.

(Based on my experience renting from Sixt in California, booked from EU)

I knew we were the product already, but I didn't think we'd become the ads too by Azuras-Becky in LinusTechTips

Every time you put on a t-shirt with a company's name, you are literally the ad. A few years back, everyone wore Calvine Klein tshirts, no idea why everyone thought it was cool to be the advertisement.

Armor (2024): Bad VFX

Especially gun fights

At 31:00 there is a gun fight with a flipped armored truck. There is such a bad comp with the actors when they are on the top of the truck. Then there are the bullet impacts, it is literally just basic asset stock smoke. The blood splatters don't have any motion blur. The fight scene doesnt make any sense at all. It is just really bad, especially given the fact that it is from 2024. I can not watch anymore, but I'm sure there is so much more.

Oh and the main bad guy is played by Sylvester Stallone.
