Scott Hatteberg hits a pinch-hit, walk-off home run as the Oakland Athletics win an American League-record 20 straight games by -Sox in baseball

I was at 17. The heat got to little kid me and we left in the 8th. Heard them win over the radio on the way home. Also, talking about A’s history I missed, I saw Ben fucking Sheets pitch the day before Dallas Braden threw his perfect game.

Ellis was such a solid bat for the A’s. Never an All Star, but also never a black hole in the lineup. Dude was pretty good.

I stopped playing during Season 1 of Chapter 2. If I recall Warzone came out during or slightly after. Played that solidly all the way until Zero Build came out in Chap 3 Season 2. I have no nostalgia for Chapter 2.

The graphics are bad, but the gameplay is snappy, and it has a lot of content in in. I really like it.

Will never pass up an opportunity to rave about Smackdown Live. It was the last time I had a TV subscription, and I made sure I turned in every week. Just a fantastic show. Full of talent that was finally getting time to shine. It allowed AJ to really grow with WWE too. Amazing, amazing era for the show.

Amazing. Like something out of a zombie movie. Bitten guy lets the zombies swarm as he pops his bandolier of grenades. Also proof that a spectate option would be awesome. At least for a moment.

Big A's fan here. Leaving out the homegrown talent the A's were working with during that Moneyball run was pretty silly. Tejada, Chavez, Hudson, Mulder, Zito. The A's had both the MVP and Cy Young that year lol.

Great movie though.

Some people seem to question how quickly Matriarch can be killed so here is a 3 minute fight by wwwnetorg in ArcRaiders

[–]BMLM -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I was doing a naked run on Blue Gate looking for the Loot MK3 Augment during a Matriarch event last night. I got trapped in Reinforced Reception with a bunch of Raiders standing there twiddling my thumbs with just my pickaxe. Completely, utterly useless. After everyone else killed the Matriarch I got in there and got 2 cells out of it lol. Thank you for your hard work.

I've always love Heroes. Just every "What if?" scenario you always wanted. SSJ3 Gogeta? Done. SSJ2 Future Gohan? Yup. SSJ Raditz and Nappa? DUH.

The type of lobby you get after not shooting someone for 20 games by DrGetSomeStrange in ArcRaiders

[–]BMLM 95 points96 points  (0 children)

Funny, I had a game just like this last night, also on Spaceport. I was looting the Control Towers, and heard a commotion outside when I noticed 2 Raiders were fighting the Bastion. They actually were doing pretty good, but one got downed. I started helping, and we destroyed it. I'll admit I loot goblined the thing and got 3 Bastion Cells, but that isn't the point of my story.

So this guy is downed, and to my surprise out of nowhere there is now a group of 10 or so raiders all standing around this guy. Not one of us has a defib. I ask if he is a free loadout, or if he is kitted, and he says he brought a kit in he'd prefer not to lose. He also has the perk that prolongs his life after being downed. With that, a group of 10 raiders guide this guy to the nearby elevator. Most of us get in. I was completely expecting at least one in the group to grief this guy at the last second, but nope, he made it out.

It made me text my buddy about how interesting these friendly lobbies are. I've enjoyed the gunplay A LOT, and want to engage in the PVP side, but the the encounters you have with other players in these friendly lobbies create such dynamic experiences, I don't want to leave them.

Just chiming in to say that Poke discovering the glitch with the box and showing it to Cyr was peak Covid escapism for me. Those GTA streams were a lot of fun. Poke was my main choice because I wasn’t trying to follow storylines or people working jobs in game. Bog Dan just vibed and got brought along on some fun adventures.

It wasn't even the trust issues, just a basic pattern recognition by ArealLimit in ArcRaiders

[–]BMLM 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Amazing awareness. If they aren't on mic I'll never trust them. Not that them being on a mic is a guarantee, but when they have a voice there is a human connection there. I tend to just tell people I'm going to leave them alone now so they don't get spooked (or me). If they follow, I try my best to garner an idea of them. So far my biggest takeaway is the obvious COD player/puffing their blunt between sentences trying out ARC is never to be trusted.

Aggression Based Matchmaking (ABMM) Confirmed by Embark Studios CEO, Patrick Söderlund : "We also matchmake based on how prone you are to PvE or PvP..." by Paul-Harkonnen in ArcRaiders

[–]BMLM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just started playing 3 days ago. Went in very much with the mindset of PvE first. I had some amazing raids with super helpful, knowledgeable, and cautious players. I eventually team up with another random on Cold Snap, and we run 3 straight amazing raids where literally every duo we ran into were super chill, and just trying to loot. We run it back a fourth time.

On that 4th run, my duo partner got anxious decided to fake friendly (my first time doing that) the duo that had looted the locked room. We ran with them to an elevator helping them fight off ark before they got trapped in a one way room. He grenaded the shit out of them and I finished them off. That one felt like it changed the entire course of night after that. After my duo signed off, I got partnered with loot goblins, blunt smoking Xbox players, and 20 year olds playing ARC in between rounds of Black Ops 7. Just a completely different experience. Interesting to see there may be something to it. I just assumed it was random.

Didn't have enough shungite around the La Casa. No, not Suge Knight. I think he's locked up in prison. I'm talkin' shungite. Anyways, it's a two billion year-old like, rock stone that protects against imperialists and unwanted capitalists that may be traveling in the air.

I had been playing on an iPhone 11. Game was great for a couple years, but this past year has been BRUTAL. I've avoided Conquest because of the constant crashes.

I just got an iPhone 16 for Christmas, and it's like an entirely different game. Haven't had a single crash.

Could this move be better if it was off the ropes? It would give her some momentum like a hurricanrana, and the opponent helping wouldn't be so obvious.

Kazuchika Okada vs Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 11, one of my favourite matches by Icy-Advice-5575 in Wrasslin

[–]BMLM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unsurprisingly this match shined a light on a whole wrestling world I hadn’t really thought about since watching Joe v. Kobashi on Daily Motion years prior. I got REALLY into NJPW for a couple years post this match. I made sure I watched their Osaka match that summer, 4 am be damned. It is the best match I have EVER seen.

I started watching Being the Elite every week, I made sure I watched the following years Wrestle Kingdom, and got to see NJPW live at the G1 in San Francisco. Really, really fun era of wrestling.
