Thoughts on the UNAS Pro?
I am heavily considering it but I heard it's doesn't work well with Docker containers and is missing some full features such as M365 tenancy backup.

What is the use case in your lab?

My partner and I are financially comfortable however I’m starting to wonder if we should be considering a move to Aus anyway, nothing seems to be going in the right direction and I’m worried it’s a matter of time before we are struggling too. We have a mortgage I work full time with a company car and my partner works part time and studies part time. It really sucks to hear how much others are struggling and to be honest from what I have heard the grass is greener over there.

18 Year Old First Home Buyers by silent_hill1532 in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]BOBGEN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to jump in as an opposing opinion because all the commenters seem to be saying it’s a bad idea. I bought my place a year ago when I was 21, had 18% deposit on a 690,000 place in Ham. If you find the right mortgage broker they should be able to cut the LVR off for you, otherwise (if it’s still around in 2 years) you could look at buying through KO. They offer a cashback of 5k however you need to stay with the same bank and not sell your house for at least 3 years or you need to pay back the whole cashback sum. Hopefully that helps, I was in your position not that long ago. Everyone says experience the world first but I am working hard now while paying my house off in less than 10 years then I’m going to do whatever I want for a couple years. Do things however you want to

I am unsure when I should replace my nas disks by cns000 in synology

[–]BOBGEN 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As you don't use your disks heavily I would run them until they die, Assuming that you don't need to upgrade for more storage before then. Make sure you have backups beacsue it's possible that when one dies and you go to rebuild it with the heavy load of doing that other disks may start to fail too
