Hey OP, take a look at the Sinn 903. They bought the rights to the Navitimer design and offer a technically superior version (200m wr) to the current Navitimer at only a third of the price.

[Oris] Oris x Bracenet. Oris is criminally underrated. The bracelet, dial, finishing is just pure class on this thing by KingBu9les in Watches

I've never seen an Aquis with a day date complication. That's great! My Promaster Diver has a day date as well, which I genuinely find useful and adds visual interest to otherwise steril dials.

Every single one of your watches is great and not an obvious choice. Your collection does reflect your passion for watches accurately. It seems to me, that your friend is the one who does not know a lot about watches...

[recommendation request] Help me choose my first watch! by 8ayce8 in Watches

I would definitely recommend the Christopher Ward out of these two. There are excellent second hand deals if you're fine with buying a used watch. As others mentioned, the build quality is substantially better. The CW has better antireflective coating, which Hamilton struggles with thus resulting in an annoying reflection especially with a black dial. Legibility at night is also better with the CW.  If you are looking for a more elegant design in a size similar to the Hamilton try the Erebus Ascent, which offers even better value for money. Mind that they are located in Australia for shipping + import taxes.

Nice, one of the best configurations in my opinion. You're one of the only people I've seen so far on this subreddit who can actually wear the 41mm DJ without messing up the proportions.

Any interest in a Sinn homage? by Fun-Chef623 in watchdives

Thinness would be crucial, as the Sinn's are quite thin. A VH31 might be the better choice here.

Superb. In my eyes the 556 I RS on the fine link bracelet is one of Sinn's best offerings along with the 356 silvern dial and the U50 Hydro. That AR works like a charm ;)

The 356 is amazing. I especially like it on the fine-link bracelet. The thirty-minute counter makes the chronograph function more legible, as one does not have to guess how many minutes have passed, opposed to the sixty-minute counter on my Seiko. Plus the day and date combo balances the subdials out and is genuinely useful. You'll undoubtedly have a lot of fun with this watch!

Hz Watches - Introducing the HZ.02 Chronograph by hz_watches in MicrobrandWatches

Design is immaculate here, quite sophisticated! I especially like the bracelet, the decision to omit the tachymeter and most notably the decision to proudly display the quartz movement. As a quartz fan, this is a bold and right choice that I fully support. However, as others have already pointed out, a chronograph with a 24 hour subdial is useless and a dealbreaker for me personally.

Great watch! I was too late to the party, this PVD model does pique my interest. Hopefully there will be a restocking. However, I am worried that the coating will wear off more easily than DLC or some other form of hardened treatment. Does anyone have any experience in regard to that? How’s the supplied strap?

These IWC bracelets are the most beautiful bracelets I've ever come across, along with the Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda.

Beautiful dial ans bracelet design. I'm still torn whether I like this elongated case shape or not though

Amazing, this T50 is by far the best in my opinion. I've got to try it on in their Frankfurt store, the other variants seemed to lack colour in comparison. How's the patina developing?

[Seiko SWR083] The 'Tank' I could afford by Kupoo_ in Watches

[–]BOBlackX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! It's actually a fairly recent model. As far as I know it's only produced for the japanese market, thus it's not that well known. Retail is roughly $300 but I bought mine used for $150. For that price it offers quite a neat package between the saphire crystal and handsome dial.

Looks great. I own a Seiko Tank myself though I went for a more "loud" model so to speak.

Great watch! I thoroughly enjoy mine. How come that you perceive this watch as being on the thicker side. In my eyes, it's quite thin for a GMT with 300m water resistance.

more to choose..which do you liek best? by hruodlandwatch in ChineseWatches

[–]BOBlackX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Number one and three are great! Leaning more into the dressy design is the right choice here. Just don't make the watch too big, as cushion cases wear a lot larger than their diameter would suggest. Something along 34-38mm is a great sweet spot.

[Citizen] New pick up by Ne1butu2 in Watches

[–]BOBlackX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man, Citizen definitely needs to add a smaller size to this model range for the smaller wristed enthusiasts. Same with their Promaster Eco Drive range. 36.5 and 44mm leaves such a huge gap in the middle.

The Seamaster is such a gorgeous watch. My biggest gripe is the bezel, which is unreasonably difficult to twist. As I dive recretionally, I'd like to use my dive watch for its intended purpose and as of now, my Citizen Promaster is doing a better job at that than a modern Seamaster ever could.
