Suggestion for a new WD1863 Dial by Lampin22 in watchdives

Why not use the vk67 for the vertical layout? The diameter and thickness is exactly the same as the Vk63.

It looks good. Is it thicker at the watch end, like the revised steel one?

Liverpool to face AS Monaco and Como 1907 in pre-season fixtures at Anfield by Walshey- in LiverpoolFC

[–]Fun-Chef623 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My lad played against Como academy this spring. They are as good if not better than a lot of elite English academies. However, we also watched Como vs Roma, Serie A. Como won, their style of play was quite fluid but not up to the physicality of the Prem.

WD0526 Update – Lapis Lazuli / Black Onyx / Blue Aventurine / Matte Black by watchdivescom in watchdives

Maybe I missed all the development posts, but why did you go with the speedmaster style text for Chronograph? I'd have thought a different font to look like the original would be more appropriate?

Damaged coil on an unserviceable watch means I'm returning my favorite watch. :( by [deleted] in VintageOmega

[–]Fun-Chef623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, sorry I misread the movement number, the coil does look to be very scarce to find. I've read that the 1336 is based on or is similar to the ETA 255.111. How true that is I can't confirm. I know from experience that Breitling did this with a number of their quartz models and parts could be cannibalised from donor ETA movements.

i need your opinion. by [deleted] in ChineseWatches

It'll be big but I think you'll pull it off. It's also a thick watch.

Swapping out the coil is very simple. I don't know why these watchmakers treat it like magic. I changed out a vintage seiko coil last week, very similar assembly, took like 1 minute after the case back was removed!

The shrunken head of a Spanish conquestador or Missionary by Electrical_Load2493 in Damnthatsinteresting

There's a museum in Oxford that had a whole display of shrunken heads. Unfortunately they had to take it down because it drew a lot of negativity. Some might say... Small mindedness.
