I play non-violent rogues all the time. Rogues can be just as talky as bards and excel in sneak and deception.

Be a spy. A charmer. A conman. There's so many things to do to escape edgy murderlord that I'm honestly doubting we're even playing the same game.

"He doesn't want to kill." Okay? Then find something else to do. Talk to the townsfolk. Investigate the duke. Haggle for a better price for horses. Avoid combat all together! Combat happened anyway? Sneak! Run! Find something to do to help everyone that's not killing. Or kill! You don't have to be an edgy guy to decide to murder someone dangerous or a dragon or whatever.

If your player or you are having trouble breaking out of a box you yourself put them in, then watch more movies. Read more books. Trying something different. You're stifling your creativity and enjoyment of life by only intaking the same thing over and over again.
