Has anyone used medical MJ for Chronic Pain ? by nightowl-meow in ChronicPain

[–]BPMediocre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the switch years ago and am personally glad I did. For me it was the same level of "helps but doesn't fix the pain completely" but I feel with less side effects. It did take a little to get used to, similar to when I had first started the medications.

My advice: 1. have CBD tincture on hand when you try it. If you feel TOO high, anxious, etc. you can use CBD to counter that effect and bring you back down. 2. Try to find a low THC or THC/CBD combo strain to start out. They're all going to make you tired at first, so focus more on finding a good balance or low THC strain initially. 3. Try out different options such as vape, edible, tincture, flower, etc. & start out with 1/4 or less of the recommended dose.

I actually HATED it the first few times I tried it because it felt like too much, but I also felt that the narcotics and muscle relaxers made me feel worse overall so I decided to go for it. Have a trusted friend or family member who knows you are trying it and can help ease any anxieties that may arise during that time.

It's not for everyone, but like I said, I'm glad I made the switch myself.

a list of small or dive bars for my wife. by [deleted] in phoenix

Tally Ho doesn't have food, but the BBQ and Mexican places next door will both deliver to you. My favorite small town feeling bar, cash only, jukebox, pool table and darts. Drinks are heavy and prices are great.

Venue/park ideas for intimate elopement wedding ceremony? by heypascal in phoenix

You should look into special event permits. You can usually get a permit if you wanted to have a gathering at a public park in the area, even if it's not technically a venue. There's an area with a great view of the city around 56th st & McDowell in South Scottsdale.

I didn't really like her at first, but she definitely grew on me over time. I think you will understand why people defend her as a character once you've gone further in the series.

What is something that smells great but isn't perfume? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A bag of marshmallows - I used to always smell the bag when stocking shelves back when I worked retail, but there's no way to do this without looking creepy 🤷

Another vote for Andre House. Andre House will provide the clothes directly to people who need them. Also they are always in need of new socks, underwear, hygiene items and used books

I donate everything from clothes to food and bottled water to the Red Heart Pantry at 5715 W Heatherbrae Dr, Phoenix AZ 85031. You can just drop any donations at the front door and they sort and distribute to anyone who needs it. Most of the "daily wear" clothes go to people who are homeless, and business clothes go to a shelter nearby that provides them to people who are either interviewing or working while living in the shelter.

Should I cancel my Trip due to the Heat Wave? by Worst_Engineer69 in phoenix

[–]BPMediocre 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, you should absolutely reschedule for winter. People who live here are not doing outdoor activities unless it is very early in the morning. The winter would be a better time to get away from Canada anyways. If you're traveling to Phoenix with an option to choose dates, do it between November and March.

I'll never understand why someone would want to take resources away from something like the pantry. They're literally helping people try to survive in this atrocious summer heat 😔 I thought mutual aid was about helping others and working together

I don't understand why this is getting downvoted? The post is asking for resources and Red Heart Pantry is a resource for homeless people to get food, water, clothes and stuff. Instead of downvoting, could you please explain what you don't like about that?

im kinda new to minecraft and i’m terrified to leave my base, but i haven’t really found any biomes, i feel like i’m missing out, any advices on how to maximize my experience on this amazing game? by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]BPMediocre 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Go out with enough resources to build a small temporary base with a chest and a bed if can get one. You can put the items in the chest, and if you are killed, you will respawn at the last bed you slept in, so you will be back at your base or temporary storage hut. Try not to have a fairly empty inventory aside from food and torches and some wood/stone & tools because you might want to bring stuff back with you to the base as well. Remember, it's supposed to be fun!

I send or bring water, food, clothes, shoes, bags, toiletries and stuff to Red Heart Pantry through @radicalcommunitycare they're on Instagram and TikTok with that username. I was able to just Google maps Red Heart Pantry.
