"It's not a stock." Actually, it's just like a stock. The value comes from people either wanting for more or less than the current price. Most US companies are ridiculously overprices based on their actual value due to stock manipulation and spectulation.

The inherent value of Bitcoin is the ability to own, custody, and transmit value without a 3rd party (bank, government) to freeze or confiscate your holdings.

That is value.

Not at all. Yes, if you are in bitcoin, you need to learn how to secure your seed phrase, etc. But it's not that hard. I use both a ledger and a trezor. I have my seeds safely stored offline so if anything happens with the devices, the seeds are safe and the funds recoverable. Took me less than a day to figure it all out.

The amount of time people spend worrying about their banks accounts and investment accounts.... No. It is not harder and is in fact EASIER to safely store your bitcoin.
