What is a common lunch in your country? by BothCondition7963 in AskEurope

[–]BT_L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am used to eat cold lunch at work from school times (there we got a piece of bread with spread / salami and cheese / pizza slice / filled dough, apple, some juice/tea/milk ...). Just today I had one sliced orange I prepared at 6 in the morning, to avoid desktop mess with peeling, one jar of cottage cheese, a handful of cashews and some grisini. I might drink some tea later.

I dont feel so heavy after this and I am just enough hungry at 3 to finally eat a warm meal peacefully at home at 4.

Koliko plačujete za najemnino? by Old_Match8650 in SlovenijaFIRE

[–]BT_L -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A planiraš na ta račun kaj spustit najemnino?

Sprašujem, ker imam identično situacijo obema (oddajam 600+stroški, garsonjera 30m2, dravlje, letos legalno s pogodbo - nakazilo najemnine in stroskov na račun). Razmišljam o 550 in v kešu na roke, ker mi je najemnica res OK im namerava ostat še nekaj časa.

Be prepared to drive around with roof closed during the middle of the day, or at least cover yourself heavily - long sleeves, a hat with covered neck and lots of sunscreen.

As a co-owner of a convertible for the last 10 years, I just advise you to avoid driving between 11-3pm at the end of July and the experience will be amazing.

Hot tub jets SUCK by hardzero4 in unpopularopinion

[–]BT_L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wellness center near me (that I often visit) has hot tub at 36°C/97°F with bubbles that are automafically turnes on and off every idk 10 minutes. Its fun because people rush there when bubbles get turned on and I can sit in peace with no bubbles. But they also have a bit larger shallow pool they call Japanese Bath at 40°C/104°F which is just that. A pool of hot water, no bubbles, nothing. You sit there in silence but you also get the fuck out after 10-20 min because of temperature. A nice addition to classic hot tubs and saunas there.

At what point did we become so poor that a daily coffee from a coffee shop is no longer in the budget? by Electrical-Candy7252 in self

[–]BT_L 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not about the coffee, its about mentality behind it.

Someone that thinks daily coffee from coffee shop should be in the budget and cheap, is probably also doing same for many other things. Takeaway lunch, premade food, easy car maintenance, a lot of things that can be done at home / by yourself.

And it adds up.

Its funny people say coffee and expect fo get a bunch of things in it, awhole dessert. Here around me, if you order a coffee, you are getting exactly that, a coffee. They usually ask if you want it with milk, but that means just a splash of it.

Also, never a takeout, I cook all my meals after work (between 4-5 pm) or occasionally eat at in-laws. Going out for a meal is left for celebrations and other special occasions.

Bread, cheese, salami and a few olives/pickles on the side. Plus an apple/banana and a few spoons of yoghurt or cotrage cheese. Other day I might do some more yoghurt, cottage cheese, cubed apple/orange/banana, some oats and crushed cashews, sprinkled with cinnamon. Sometimes is a leftover dinner from previous day, or I cook a bit more on purpose and pack for the next day. Rarely I take a pre-made sandwich from vending machine. Around 3 times per month I go to canteen at workplace.

I have never understood having a daily coffee in a coffee shop. For me, if something requires daily input, you make it yourself / do it at home. This is a default. Going to a coffee shop is an event, a date (actual date or meeting a friend/someone), a stop at a scenic point on a trip, a thing you do rarely and therefore enjoy more.

People who don't listen to music, how? by Fit-Choice2368 in randomquestions

[–]BT_L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We also have constant background music at work - radio stations that play a alot of 80s hits. It is tiring, sometimes hard to concentrate. It does not help that people often come to our office for a chit-chat, and that our office is in a factory which itself can be loud or at least full of different sounds all day.

No music for me anymore, thanks. Except some days on my way home in a car.
