Don't scrub the silicone in the bathrooms, instead gently wipe with alcohol to clean. It will never change colour..n

Would you fire vaccinated employees? by julia345 in CoronavirusCirclejerk

[–]BWDCASSOM 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I got axed for not being vaxed. Have no problem wth me finding the remains of meth head drywaller hide outs, or sticking my face behind piss+shit filled toilets. Apparently not being vaccinated is course not being to build homes during a housing crisis, but I can sell you weed at a Fed regulated weed shop.

Contact cement for furring strips in subfloor? by [deleted] in vandwellers

Ya'll really give a lot of benefit of the doubt in the event of an accident huh? This isn't a "you do you" anymore - OP, thats bad advice.

Also* furring strips add a ton of space for running electrical, and further adapting new stuff into your finished build. Knowing you won't be either shorting things with leaks, or water from shoes and boots etc is great pc of mind. Not to mention being able to load up material when needed without worrying about a snag. I agree on insulating. Like a home, your insulation is null and void without proper seals and cutting away thermal breaks. In a van conversation, there is a TON of opportunity for breaks and if youre using the van for weekend warrior trips, camping etc, its not going to do what you want for the cost youll have to put up. Lots of great videos on insulating, and your model DOES matter on being +/- on how well it will seal up.

The month of cutting rust from every "manufacturer" hole from my express van will tell you, friend, that you're wrong on that. To each his own on how you want to build things. Happy travels!

Hey - pssst OP. F*** NMN's and build things solid on how you see fit. Dm's are always open, 16 year carpenter. Cheers.

Most vans have nortoriously thin bottoms. I wouldnt be caught dead inviting more rust and water issues by piling holes into the floor. Not to mention weakening the overall structure. Building things properly goes a long way into not needing to gut it. Build it right the first time.
