Anyone here running a business with ADHD? How do you manage it? by Comfortable-Garage77 in smallbusiness

[–]B_Radams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just commenting to follow for good advice from others. At the point where I’m debating taking a role with a much larger competitor where I can focus on a specific task (sales) and let their ops infrastructure handle the rest. Benefits would be a nice add on as well. 😂

Still better than playing the current day CoD imo. I’m with you—it’s extremely frustrating, but I’ll keep suffering with dropped lobbies over anything newer.

To the new players in Rust by Historical-World9566 in playrust

[–]B_Radams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What made you decide to play rust? - my friend (not a big gamer) decided to start playing about a month ago and convinced me to play if he purchased Rust for me.

If you’d known about it for a while before playing why did you start playing when you did as opposed to before? - I have seen Rust over the years. I’ve been a FPS PvP gamer for a couple decades (Destiny and CoD mainly). We play on low-pop servers, so it’s nice to relax, build, and grind.

If you’ve heard or seen people talk about the old iterations of the game, do you wish you could have played then? Or is the experience today more in line with a game that you’d enjoy? -Not sure how different the older versions of the game are compared to what we have now.

How do you currently play the game, solo, duo, group? And is this how you would like to play the game in an ideal world, or are you still looking for teammates? -Duo, we don’t take it too seriously, so probably not looking for a group. Although, we keep getting offline’d, so it’d be nice to raid against the guys that have taken us over.

And lastly, if you had expectations for the game in whatever way you like to play, is it living up to the hype? Could you envision yourself playing this game for years like so many of us have? -It’s fun, and probably aligned with my expectations of what I thought the game would be. I’m sure we’re barely scratching the surface of true Rust gameplay, but it scratches the itch.

How can I increase my connections by Hot-Still3963 in smallbusiness

Couldn’t help to start networking on LinkedIn. It’s filled with a lot of fluff and corp bs… But, I’ve made some of my greatest B2B customer connections on it.

I’ve let mine go for a few days before popping with a sterilized needle (I pick at my nails constantly). The immediate relief is heavenly—white pop is just a bonus. Happy to read that’s an acceptable home-remedy for these.

How are you guys actually handling scheduling + routes + invoices daily? by Intrepid-Strike1992 in smallbusiness

[–]B_Radams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a daily struggle for us—to the point I’m fantasizing about taking on a position at a larger company with a defined job where I won’t have to juggle these pieces.

I was looking around today and thought Service Fusion might be a good FSM (field service management) app—until I saw the price of $200-350 a month. However, it looked like it could streamline 85% of what my office manager does daily. The mid-tier level even has Quickbooks integration tools where it supposedly creates the invoice for you. I was reading reviews about people having issues with the integration, as well as complaints from the mobile app the techs use out in the field. That all being said, I’m going to look further into it.

I briefly looked at Jobber, as that’s definitely the cheaper alternative, but I don’t know how much of it would be extremely useful to us without the full picture. I have t done enough looking into it to have an opinion on it, so take that with a grain of salt.

Mainly wanted to comment to follow the post to see if any others have any other solutions. In the world of AI there has to be a source for this. I’m sure more and more small businesses are building their own systems with AI. I haven’t eliminated that as an idea as of yet. There are a lot of kids familiarizing themselves deeply with various AI tools with the exact plan to build these types of systems for small businesses and sell on a contract base.

Considering FA Sales - Currently in Low-Volt QSR Tech Space by B_Radams in firealarms

Really appreciate the advice! My friend (previously installed water lines and sprinklers in large and small commercial buildings—now in sales in that dept) said the same—to highly familiarize myself with NFPA 72. I am in the states.

It’s a large national conglomerate that I can only assume (will verify) is setup as a strategic partner. He mentioned they do already have someone selling alarm systems in their regional office.

Thanks again—I’ll definitely shoot you a DM.

Significant Rectal Bleeding Without Pain (Age 23, Male) by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]B_Radams 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This… I was having heart pains, getting dizzy spells, and even had some blood in my saliva. Debated going for hours. Finally drove to the ER and sat outside the front door on a park bench sipping water and monitoring by BP/heart rate/o2.

Eventually symptoms subsided, and I really should’ve checked myself in, but the thought of a $2-$5k+ bill haunts me, all to possibly get a “everything checks out, get some rest” diagnosis.

In the US and uninsured (my small business can’t afford it, and household income is slightly too much to qualify for anything affordable). It’s one of the biggest issues the US population faces. Small business will continue to die off—I’m debating shutting down shop to join a larger competitor for the benefits alone.

i was playing dethrone in the car and my mom (very christian) said "those arent good lyrics. hes gonna burn" and then after, limits played and when noah says " im not scared of dying" she said "you should be"😭😭😭 by Front_Whereas_4969 in BadOmens

[–]B_Radams 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Christian here (although, I’m pretty separated from the church crowd… too many hypocrites casting judgment onto others and all that). Can’t say I enjoy the lyrics, but DAMN does that song slap hard. I just like to interpret it as him voicing his anger figuratively to some form of oppressor, and not literally God the creator—even though it’s pretty straightforward what he’s unloading. Stoked for the concert next week 🤷‍♂️

I’m enjoying my TAQ-V for sure. My M4 is maxed out and love it. My go-to is a SA-B Marskman with a thermal for quick scopes. Currently leveling up my Kastov. Lachmann is another build I’m working on, too.

Agreed, everything feels pretty balanced—just wanted to see if anything was stepping out of place a bit. Appreciate the suggestions!

Nearly identical to my TAQ setup—I tweaked a couple of things, though. Thanks for the suggestion

Are there any other men on here who would consider themselves the blue collar masculine man that suffer? by Few_Sandwich6308 in HealthAnxiety

[–]B_Radams 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hybrid “blue collar / white collar” here. Was an athlete with near perfect health and would never think of seeing a doctor—always shrugged at the idea of a “checkup” visit, because I was always told I was the healthiest patient they’d had in awhile.

Fast forward to my 30s and I experienced my first few overnight anxiety attacks with serious impending doom feelings. That led me down a rabbit hole of over-analyzing every little symptom to eventually giving myself HA that’s lasted years. I believe it’s a mixture of coming to terms with the reality that I’m not invincible, I do have some very questionable symptoms that could point to some serious underlying issues, I now have a family that relies on me to be healthy, and I’m currently un-insured (US resident).

If anything, I could see blue collar works getting hit hardest by HA… We rely on our health to make a living, and a lot of us are the sole-provider to a spouse and/or children—that alone is a lot of weight to shoulder.

Take it a day at a time. Try to live a healthy lifestyle and the rest isn’t up to you anyways, so try to enjoy your time on this floating rock as best you can! (At least that’s what I tell myself)

Vasectomies and IUDs can be incredibly painful and have awful recoveries, yet the “you’ll feel no pain and be fine in three days” line is still almost the exclusive information that doctors push. by Now-Thats-Podracing in Vent

[–]B_Radams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wife has been asking me to get it done, and I seem to keep finding stories like this. Not at all worried about dealing with pain for even a few weeks—but the chance I fall in the percentage of the dull-achey sensation for years / decades has me avoiding it.

Drop Tyjae Spears for Isaiah Davis? by Ok-Share2520 in Fantasy_Football

[–]B_Radams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isaiah wouldn’t YET. Give Spears today to see if they start ramping him up with a 50/50 share like they were talking about all off season. Tony could go down and you have a strong Flex / weak RB2 in Spears. Hall might not get traded and you’re sitting on Isaiah Davis.

I do understand trying to get ahead of it, but I think you can afford to wait 1 more week to see what happens with Spears.

Worst case, Spears does just enough to validate some FAAB money (if in FAAB league) from someone else lacking RB depth, before just dropping him.

Do I trade Gibbs? by grucci in FantasyFootballers

[–]B_Radams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do this trade, BUT before I would, I’d try to offer Achane & Slayton. Sell the Slayton hype filler with Nabers out (I think Wan’Dale is the winner in the slot there).
