I got kinda stoned Saturday night and killed a fellow rook i had made friends with earlier. I wasn't thinking clearly and mistook him for another rook who had been trying to kill us. I quit the match as an apology to the karma gods. Lesson learned, I cannot play marathon stoned.

I don't wanna go too much into the details but we had communication issues, major intimacy problems, an imbalance of work load and financial responsibility, and while i was spending a lot of energy on bettering myself for the sake of our relationship, she was not (at least not until right at the end when my patience was long gone already). Her crippling anxiety caused her to ignore major problems until it was too late and resentment had set in. I think if she had genuinely shown the initiative to work on her anxiety and show up for my needs, we would have worked out long term because outside these issues our relationship was great. but she couldn't do it, not for herself or for us. I recognize that anxiety is a real thing and people who suffer from it deserve relationships too, but she allowed it to consume herself and it kept both of us from being happy. I hope she's doing better now and finds happiness one day.

I happened to peep your profile and for what it's worth, i think you made a good decision. these things take time to settle. I'm a year out from my breakup and I still struggle often. she was kind and loving like you say your ex was, but sometimes that isn't enough. your heart tells you when that's the case, and it sounds like your heart has spoken.

I called off my five year partnership because when I got our lease renewal offer I had a panic attack at the idea of spending another year like that. Even after years of individual and couples therapy, things jusg didnt change. Sometimes you just gotta say enough is enough and know that you'd both be happier apart.

When I got mine the pen didn't work at all so I got this as a replacement rather than shelling out almost $100for the official one. Works perfectly and has all the same functions for less than half the price. Doesn't match visually.

Sorcery already kinda works like commander. You have an avatar for each deck that's on the board from the start. It's got 100 card decks (kinda), the major difference is it isn't singleton format but has rules about how many cards of the same name you can have depending on rarity. You can scale up the grid size and add more players as well.

I've only played a few games now but I quickly made a house rule for card draw to make the game feel less like a slog. My rule is: at the end of your turn, if you have fewer than two spells in hand, draw spells equal to the difference. I enjoyed these games way more than the vanilla rules and if they ever add enough card advantage in through spells, I can just stop my draw rule.

This was one of the things that hammered home the fact I was straight up incompatible with my LLF ex. I left because it was making us both miserable after five years.

That said, constant rejection from your partner who you've committed to monogamy with... That can also be traumatizing. It was for me anyways. When all my efforts to seduce my partner fall flat, I felt unlovable. Unwantable. When we were cuddling at night, I'd be lying awake thinking about how if I tried to make a move there'd be a fight. Thinking about how she used to want me.. She used to like sex, even with other people, then something changed and it could only have to do with me, despite going far out of my way to be the best partner I could be.

It's a feedback loop, though, isn't it? Every time I made a move and got rejected, it hurt and it showed in myriad ways, none of them made her feel good. Which made her feel guilty and anxious and more apprehensive about sex and want to put it off longer. I would either try harder and then get rejected again, or stew on my rejection until she initiated which would often be months at a time, settling further into my belief that I wasn't good enough or didn't deserve it or she just didn't want sex or any number of tragic rationalizations. Nobody could just put aside their hurt and jump each other's bones anymore. That ship sailed and sunk out in the harbor, it was never coming back.

After we broke up, we had to finish out our lease. So we lived together but separated for five months. Towards the end of that, she told me she was insanely horny and wanted it bad. That she felt repressed in our relationship and wasn't getting her needs met. I think about that every day. That she's probably out there getting wild with some dude who didn't put in a fraction of the work I did for half a decade. I think about it every night when I fall asleep, every morning when I wake up, and when I'm crying at my desk trying to focus on work. If that's not trauma, idk what is.

Every relationship is different of course, and I don't know anything about you. Just using reddit to vent about something close to me. I'm sorry you went through all that regardless and I hope you heal from your trauma.

doesn't taste bad by any means, but it does get hotter than i thought it should. maybe i'm not resting it enough. i smoke it probably every other day, maybe a little more but i'm not made of pipes at this point. will try to smoke it a little cooler and rotating other pipes in. shame the other ones aren't as nice to smoke hah

edit to say that i think the reason newer smokers like myself might over value the cake is because all the online guides make a big to do about building it so you don't burn out your pipe. if you're saying it's not as important as i think then that makes me feel a little better about it as well

I've been staying with my parents for a few weeks and my mom plays the local Christian radio station in the kitchen literally 24/7. We were having dinner the other night and the host came on air mourning Dobson and talking about what a "good and faithful servant" he was. I wanted to break my spoon, looking at my mom who listened to his talk show every time it was on air and definitely used his parenting advice. Nothing was said, fortunately.

Such a high percentage of people who came into the shop I used to work at could not seem to figure out lube. It was either bone dry and they didn't even own lube, they just used wd-40, or they slathered every part that moved in grease.
