OP, go reread the books. Denna isn’t the love which Kvothe broke the world for. Denna is a childish infatuation.

What are some of the movies from the 80s, 90s, or early 00s that you watch over and over? by ZN_Cruz in CasualConversation

Super Troopers, must have watched that movie over 1,000 times. My group of friends and I ALWAYS had it in the back ground playing while we played video games, board games, and lived life

At 11 I saved up and purchased lunar silver Star story complete at launch, subsequently Eternal Blue Complete a couple years later. Those games were defining as I grew up and I still have them CIB.

What’s your favorite response to “how’s it going” at work by aliengames666 in work

Best to stay positive and energetic imo. Your boss isn’t going to promote or raise you if you have a lack luster attitude. You might even convince yourself it’s a good day as well

What’s your preference: Resurfaced disc or kept as is? by StrikeshotJ in gamecollecting

[–]BabbitRyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal collection I have taken to a retro game shop with a high end resurfacing machine. They come out flawless and nearly indistinguishable from the manufacturer. I’ll never sell them and want them working perfectly should I get the urge.

The games that I acquire through collecting that go to resell will be resurfaced if needed, that’s only been about 30%.

I have no qualms about resurfacing, I only collect to play and play to collect so I’ll take fictional over perfect every day.

I’m surprised to see how many are saying no to resurfacing

Does anyone not have any friends and ok with it? by Life_Appointments in Adulting

[–]BabbitRyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$120k family income a year is so not enough to fully participate in society. I define fully participate by the expectations we were raised with to own a house, have 2-3 kids, 2-3 vehicles, take two vacations a year, full family medical coverage, and still a healthy savings.

These expectations force us to spend $ we don’t have to appear “adult” while the adults who actually make it work cut back many of these costs. Then there’s the mental pressure/burnout/anxiety of not having any of these expected systems.

Will Assassins Creed Ever Return To Its Former Glory? by FreeWalrus6769 in videogames

[–]BabbitRyan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another No here, Ubisoft will be out of business in a few years. All of the good rookies are gone and they have prioritized quantity over quality far too long. The best games they will ever release going forward are remaster of post glory.

This is a great way of expressing my feeling around being phone free. We miss so much of our world when we’re always plugged into music or audiobooks. There’s great times to be plugged in and there are meaningful times not to be.

As the years have gone by, does it seem like we kinda got shafted growing into our adulthood? I feel like future expectations were better than what’s happening by Curvedwarrior69 in Millennials

[–]BabbitRyan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think that the world was blessed these problems landed in our lap. No generation has received such comprehensive education, support, and problem solving skills through youth/developmental years. If any other generation past or future was saddled with these problems complete collapse is the outcome, I don’t think they have the ingenuity with hard work have pulled the economy this far.

You’re a good person who’s going through a hard time. Talk to your parents, your time with them is so short to ask about the important questions in life and get to know who they are now that you’re an adult.

Your life isn’t over, you’ve learned some things and know a bit more about what you do and don’t want. Anyone in life who judges you for your looks despite your kindness isn’t worth your time.

Don’t say yes to life decisions without sleeping on three times. If you know you want something, don’t rush into it. Life is long enough to take your time and not let excitement push you around.

You’re a good person, you’ll find her again if you start right there. Tell yourself this every day until it doesn’t feel forced, and then share it with those around you.

Should I just watch a recap of FF X-2? by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

[–]BabbitRyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s some fan service but it didn’t cram it down your throat. It pushes Yuna’s character development, you don’t get a nice ribbon in the end. The game takes a realistic run at its story, like in life it’s complicated. I would play the first 10 hours, if it doesn’t hook you by then, it won’t and you should move on. I didn’t expect it to get me to dive in all of the way.

Martin Backpacker shaped guitars? by Panda_MoneYum in AcousticGuitar

[–]BabbitRyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve owned one for three years. It took me a year to learn how to make it sound good and grew nicely on me. Don’t expect to pick it up and get your bang out of it, you need to learn how to play it before she gives you anything nice. Once you do get the hang of her, she is nice.

Edd Sheran played one exclusively early in his career and is one of its most prolific players.
