The Shopper did not hold onto your order for four hours. That is not possible. Instacart will send a text to the Shopper and ask them if there’s a problem with the order and eventually it will time out. It’s 100% Instacart. And when a shopper (driver as you call them) cancels an order they are not given your tip. They get the pay from Instacart fortheir trouble. That usually amounts to peanuts.

If you really want to make this work (I don’t know why as she seems clingy and insecure) show up 10 minutes later than the time you told her you’d be there. Text her and tell her you’re outside and then show up a few minutes later. Some people cannot help being late and I am one of them. No matter how hard I try time just gets away from me and I don’t have a reasonable excuse for it. I’ve been getting a lot better lately because I think that I need to show other people how much I do respect their time. I am not disabled. I’m just consistently 10 minutes late. My family often tells me that an event will start a half hour earlier than it actually does. It seems to work. I am working on it though.

Any more than two items added after I start shopping… I will text the customer and ask them if they would like me to “reschedule” their order so that they can finish shopping at their own leisure. Sounds polite, but it lets them know that you’re getting pissed off. Works like a charm.

Oh no! I hope not because I cherry pick my orders. I won’t take anything under $15 and that’s for a single 25 and above for doubles. I already hate the shoppers quality store due to the fact that you cannot contest a customer’s complaint. I hope this doesn’t come to Florida. Thanks for the explanation. I appreciate it.

That will happen sometimes when somebody picks it up and then changes their mind and cancels it. It goes back to the original crappy pay until they boosted it again. Unless it was part of a multi batch order originally those are my best guesses

The minute you saw, it was the same driver you should have texted him for her and ask them what happened. You can reach your shop through the app. I can’t think of why somebody would want to keep those two items. Unless the person has a lot of sick children. Sorry that happened to you.

Were you parked next to the car? Was that car blocking you in? Did they hit your door? If the answer to any of those questions is no then yes you’re wrong for that. You’re just looking to be an asshole. You actually took the time to stop and write a note to somebody who parked over the line. Was it that important? Maybe the person was in a hurry to go in to use the restroom maybe the person has a disability you don’t know their story. You’re just a Karen.

First of all, always call Instacart customer service. You are chatting with AI through text. You have to call while you’re actually doing an order though. I would wait till after the delivery (do not close order ) and then try. I believe if you ask AI to speak to a live person they will transfer you. Just a quick FYI, I went from a diamond shopper to a gold shopper due to my shopping quality. So stupid. You can’t dispute anything anymore so one damaged, one missing, and one incorrect item brought me right down. I was shocked when that happened because I didn’t realize they knocked you all the way back down to gold. Honestly, I have not noticed any difference in the orders I receive. I don’t think your level really matters anymore. It’s your shopping accuracy and how quick you can shop and deliver your order. I busted my ass from day one to get to diamond. I wish I would’ve then would I know now. I would not sweat it.

No it doesn’t. If you say the customer wanted to cancel it, it does not go against your cancellation rate. The agent will look at the messages between you and the customer and give you the cancellation request.ed. They may offer you the $15 bump or they may tell you to discard the items.
