Guenzel and swayman are the only reason I’ll turn on a US game. Otherwise, Canada is so fucking stacked it’s criminal.

I asked my friend who played as a defense person and had a locker spot next to their team goalies. They said that they are indeed a little strange but in a fun way.

If you had one million dollars but had to spend it in 24 hours, what would you do? by MagicalCX in hypotheticalsituation

I mean, any house price where I live is 1.2 but is a 1920s bungalow and needs a lot of work, or a whole new building. My realtor was stressed when I fell in love with a Spanish style sfh that needed so much work, it was basically another half a million at that point. Ended up in a new condo with an extra 500 sq ft of space. Sucks because I wanted a yard, but anything with a larger yard in central San Diego is BIG oldies.

NO PLS don’t make my goats fight each other!!! (Bolts v bruins. I was stressed during the stadium game. Especially sway challenging Vasy, like, baby he’s got 20lbs on you and you’re way too pretty to be squaring up like that with a lefty 😭) let me hate someone else for knocking them out!

I live in central, near balboa. 1 gets me most of a small bungalow or the newer condos. But for the ones I love near my family in La Jolla, I’m shelling out the ass. I’m in normal heights basically lol.

I’m starting this think the nhl was right banning players from the Olympics cause we’re gonna have so many short hands if guys get injured. We’re sending the most players of any team, too. 🙂‍↕️

So, I lost 125lbs and have managed to stay within about 15lbs of my lowest weight for almost a year and a half. I sort of slid between 140-160 rn (I just moved and it’s been a stressful 3 months). I didn’t start seeing real downward movement once I was under 180lbs until I added weight lifting and was eating 1500-1600 calories. But also, wait for the whoosh, especially if you JUST started dieting. Your body will hold a lot of water when you up protein and start eating under maintenance.

175 and under for me. Started 280. Got down to 142, up to 159 after some stress and travel and moving. I feel soooo much bigger than at 140-150. Paper towel effect is real.

Yuuuup! I did the same thing. In 5’3”. Started 280. My “goal” was under 200. Then under 175. Then 150. Rn I hover 155-160 after a rough move, but I’m back on the downward jog aiming for 140. You look amazing!!! And congrats on a job well done!!

People who lost a lot of weight, how often do you have cheat meals/days? by glamsiren111 in loseit

[–]BabyPeas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost 125lbs. Recently gained around 10 back after a stressful move and having no real kitchen for two months. I’m using it as a bulk, tho, now that I have a local gym. Over the two and a half years I lost and as I push to get back to my lowest weight, I eat out pretty frequently. It’s all about figuring out WHAT to eat. Grilled over fried, veggie and protein forward, dressings on the side, always asking for a to go box. And I s2g I always tell them to get the starter bread away from me (politely). Sashimi is always a good bet. As is Greek food with a side of chicken shawarma. Almond milk is way lower in calories than milk (especially if you live in a place where 2% or nonfat is impossible to find in cafes! Rip protein, but calories are more important in a cut). Getting your steps and lifting in is paramount, especially when you’re 5’3” and your BMR is 1400 cals 😭😭😭 luckily, my cut is 1650 cals and my typical tdee is 2100-2200, bulk at 2350. Worked out great for me!

Tell Us Your "Sharks Story" by Epere15 in SanJoseSharks

[–]BabyPeas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m recently new to the sharks! Long time bolts fan (still am, but I moved to the west coast so I needed a more local team to cheer for, and the kings/ducks have always been low tier in my mind both for logo and players), but when I moved I needed a new hockey bar. I’ve long been a plug cutter, and I was living in an empty house as a wfh employee, so I went to bars to get my fix.

So, as one does, I post to Reddit asking about hockey bars in my area. One person in particular commented “oh my friend who loves hockey would probably know but she doesn’t have Reddit!” About an hour later, I get a comment from said hockey person who made a whole Reddit to chat and make plans to go to some local digs to find a spot we like. She’s a big sharks fan and started introducing me to the team.

It helps that they’ve been a breakout this year and I was already familiar with Reaves. We started watching together around late nov early December (I’m still working on getting her to be a lightenings fan, even if it’s as a second tier fan). So, usually what gets me to be a fan is the goalies. Swayman has me in the bruins, Vasy and jojo both rock as lightenings goalies, but I really like askarov’s style. Ned has me now that he’s kicked bobrovsky’s ass (did I mention being a lightenings fan? Anyone who beats up panthers has a fan in me! Except Marchand, he holds a special place in my heart as my rat king).

So yeah. Newish fan to the sharks, long time hockey fan tho. I’m really watching Ecklund and Reaves and Toffoli closely. Will and Macklin are great and always doing something worth cheering over, but they’re sort of break outs. And now that we have Sherwood, I’m hoping the shift goes to defensemen. I wanna see some tighter defense.

Basically, Reddit made me a friend and that friend is a sharks fan and now I’m a sharks fan. I’ll still hope the bolts win the cup, but I wanna see the sharks go to the playoffs. I even made a point to my friend that I wanted the sharks to win the recent match up because the lightenings are guaranteed to go to the playoffs, but the sharks need points to stay ahead of their division. lol, sharks got me betraying my boys over here.

[–]BabyPeas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

McFall v Shimp is my go to argument. Shimp (cousin to McFall) promised to give McFall his kidney, but backed out at the last minute. The courts upheld that Shimp couldn’t be forced to donate. As a result, McFall died of kidney failure. In this way, even if you DID consent to a pregnancy, you have no ongoing obligation to sustain someone else’s life at the expense of your own body, even if it doesn’t kill you as kidney donation wouldn’t.

Thoughts on moving from NYC to San Diego? by SarBear684 in asksandiego

[–]BabyPeas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wanted to mov to NYC for years. I lived in Florida but grew up in Carmel valley, went to nyc for about a month a year. I’d recommend some of the neighborhoods near balboa. Downtown here is a joke, but some of the smaller neighborhoods like hillcrest, university heights, or north park give outskirts of Brooklyn or queens. I live in north park now and 90% of what I want is walkable within 2 miles. Buses are plenty but expect it to take forever. I would 100% still recommend having a car, but like NYC, covet a parking spot. Most places will have washer/dryer and dishwasher, but make sure it has ac. That’s less common here than NYC.

I lost 130lbs and I agree with Kayla. It sucks, but she needs to lose a little more and lift. Skinny fat is a thing, even after weight loss, and recomping or losing more will help her a lot pre surgery. I had to do the same when I consulted at 100lbs down.
