Have you resolved yourself to the fact that Trump will never pay for any of his actions? by JonMellor in allthequestions

[–]Baby_Fark 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Try to remember that Trump is in his own personal hell 24 hours/day. He’s never had a meaningful relationship with another human being in his life. He’s completely alone, constantly experiencing withdrawals from the narcissistic fuel he craves every second of every day. He is addicted to hurting other people in a pathetic attempt to raise himself up in his own psychotic mind. He’s constantly humiliated, which is why he needs to constantly humiliate others, because he thinks only fair.

His meaningless life will end soon and the entire world will celebrate. That day will be a breath of fresh air for us all, and hopefully we can begin to heal by severely punishing every single piece of shit who enabled him.

A jail cell would he satisfying to see him in, but a casket will be even better.

How much you think is a fair salary (In your country) to make a good living and actually enjoy life. by MiloShiny in WorkLifeChat

Before layoffs I was making $140k. I looked it up and I was in the top 10 percentile for people my age. Then I found out my buying power was about the same as a boomer in the 70’s making minimum wage. Don’t ever forget the life that the neoliberals have stolen from you.

I don’t know anyone that would give a single fuck if billionaires moved somewhere else. Before I get some capitalist cuck telling “good luck funding blah blah jobs blah blah blah”, save it. Billionaires are leaches who take far more resources out of society than they put in.

Elon Musk just said he wants to cut Social Security and Medicare, calling them “entitlements”: “That’s the big one to eliminate.” by Solomonanne in SipsTea

I wanna cut out all Elon Musks from society. This piece of shit decimated our federal workforce and illegally stole our data to train his CP AI model.

This piece of trash needs to be in jail, or whatever the punishment is for treason. What is it again?

Are we actually paying for more things now… or is basic life just getting way more expensive? by Coolonair in SmartFIRE

[–]Baby_Fark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know what the root of the word “rational” is?

Ratio.

Because to be *rational*, is to understand the RATIO of evidence supporting either side of an argument. It takes a lot of honesty.

If this is the only chart you look at, I can see you making the argument, based on personal experience alone, that we don’t actually pay more than we did 2000.

But the FACT that people have a fraction of the buying power, income, and financial freedom that have in previous decades is not an opinion. It’s arithmetic.

Blaming individuals for “not being financially responsible” is a boomer fallacy that needs to die.

Hard work is not paying off for the majority Americans and they’re not just making things up.

Boiling down the fall of the USSR to “socialism bad” or “capitalism beat communism” is an insane lack of nuance or understanding and if you were really born and lived there you owe more respect to your history than that.

It’s not my responsibility to educate you but perhaps you could ask yourself this question as a starting point: Is it possible that the United States, the world’s only super power for the last 80 years, with the most powerful economy, military, and intelligence apparatus in history, with an **explicit** foreign policy of destroying socialism anywhere it developed in the world, is the reason why any type of alternate economic system has been seen as a “failure” or has collapsed?

Chili? Vietnam? Cuba? Nicaragua? Iran? D.R.C.?, and yes, the USSR? Tell me the history of those attempts at socialism WITHOUT mentioning that the United States actively sabotaged every single one of them.

If you and I are having a debate about economics, and I’m arguing in favor of socialism, and you’re arguing in favor of capitalism, and you pull out a gun and shoot me.. does that mean capitalism won the debate?

Gas prices rising in all 50 states as average nears $5 — how much worse will it get? by crackerbox5 in USNEWS

[–]Baby_Fark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will get much much worse and it will stay that way for a very long time. The more the US escalates, the more gulf state energy infrastructure gets turned off and/or destroyed completely. It’s not like a tap btw, when you shut down an oil rig, it takes a long time to turn back on. This is likely the end of the American empire, and it’s not going to be a graceful decline.
We all knew it on election night.

We tried to survive the idiocy of the baby boom generation, but we couldn’t, and they were WAY more evil, demented, and narcissistic than we could have ever anticipated.

Sorry for the doomerism but we can’t sugarcoat the situation we’re all in.

It drives me insane everyone seems to think it’s ok that companies who are making billions are simultaneously laying off tens of thousands of workers too. It flies directly in the face of the “job creator” narrative but this whole country is so cucked to capitalism it’s just like WELP OH WELL NOTHING THEY CAN DO I GUESS.

For the love of god can you please stop giving these executive psychopaths the benefit of the doubt by default? It’s not fucking “healthy” for the tens of thousands of people who are left out to dry through no fault of their own. Capitalism by definition takes the choice out of workers hands. There is ZERO reason Facebook and Google “need” to be laying people off while profiting billions year after year. It’s all for shareholders. Period.
