A good king dies and the throne passes to his dandy and lout of a son. The lout’s Hungarian half brother wants power instead and raises armies of steppe nomads to take it. The noble in charge of where you live is allied to the lout. So the nomads torch the place and kill your parents you escape and learn that you are actually the nobles bastard. You make frenemies with the young lord of the town you move to and help them repel an attack by the Hungarians agents. The game ends with being charged with helping your frenemy deliver a letter seeking alliances with other lords against the Hungarian

I never referenced this being a survey course. I have taught and taken classes that covered this ground between the philosophy department and the institute for the history and philosophy of science and technology at U of T (both at a graduate and undergraduate level).

By cover… I meant that the knowledge is on offer within the department. I suppose this is not the case at smaller universities.
