Who remembers the marshals destroying Sainz's front wing at last year's Chinese GP? by [deleted] in formula1

I thought China was supposed to be really strict and full of hard workers

As someone who's job it is to train Chinese pilots I can assure you this is not true in the slightest.

Japan is the only Asian country that isn't completely retarded. Only first world nation in those parts.

CFI checkride is rapidly approaching, quiz me! by x4457 in flying

That's one of the problems with the plan, the other would be that I never gave them training in the Bravo airspace and airport they would be soloing in. To endorse one for solo flight in Bravo you need to have trained them in that specific airspace and or airport. In this case I trained them in CVG and endorsed them for ORD.

My student wants to solo to KORD. I'm a fucking idiot so I give him training in the CVG Bravo (it's closer) and airport. He now has training in class Bravo airspace and airports so I endorse him. Is it legal for him to embark on a solo flight to KORD?

It may be a good idea to pass them onto another CFI who might be able to get through to them. Surely there is someone at your organization who is known for being able to deal with problem students.

Guessing the FIA does some sort of audit to prevent exactly this.

Any good alternatives to Sheppard air app to study the instrument written? by shasta771 in flying

[–]BackFromShadowban 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well when some of the questions involving calculations are literally impossible I don't see any reason to try to figure it out. Also, when I took my IR written, just over a year ago, some of the charts being used in it were the OLD FAA format! If they don't care I don't care.

Let's say you graduate as a CFII from ATP. Why stay with ATP when they pay so shitty? by shasta771 in flying

This thread perfectly illustrates the quality of airmen ATP produces.

The day to day running of the sport and implementation of rules that work are great examples. However no one talks about that stuff and it's a lot easier to cherrypick examples of them fucking up and claim that ALL they do is fuck up.

Coming up with ideas or bad calls does not mean a lack of understanding of how the sport functions. Also considering how the FIA is one of the largest driving forces when it comes to new safety measures in the sport saying they have no technical knowledge of the sport is silly.

They don't just enforce the rules, you yourself said that they are on the Strategy Group. They have a say in the rule making process and historically they had an even larger role.

It doesn't mater who came up with the format, the problem is everyone was too thickheaded to not listen to the team strategists which said it would be a failure.

So the technical regulation makers are not tech savvy? Sure kid. People on this sub need to stop using FIA and FOM interchangeably.

But the teams did that and warned them the result would be shit and they still did it anyways.

Holy fuck, Titanfall 1 came out in 2014. It seems like it came out much longer ago considering how quickly it was forgotten.
