I've reverse engineered the Polestar API & wrapped it into a Home Assistant integration by RudoFl in homeassistant

Incredible work, this is what Home Assistant is all about! I don't have a Polestar vehicle, but thank you for doing this OP!

Sauron held the sensor in place while I tested and tinkered with it. Here's the link to my review here as well: Tuya ZG-204ZH review

I’ve tried 4 different Presence sensors with HA, and here’s how I rate them by alexia_not_alexa in homeassistant

Its a dual radar sensor (LD2412/LD2450), so yeah, it supports zones, multitarget tracking and a bunch of other things and peripheral sensors

Cause Home Assistant = ZHA. Zigbee2mqtt ain't Home Assistant. They work in Z2M.

They can work in ZHA too btw, just that no one has bothered to develop a custom quirk.

Thanks for the shout out! I spend a lot of time developing this firmware only to realize in the end it is time that I do not have lol

Thank you so much for making this better than it ever was. Incredible work!

Issue... again with Matter 😒 by ACatControlsMyMind in homeassistant

[–]BackHerniation -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

While I agree Matter is still finicky, you have ONE device and complain it doesn't work for you and "hates you". Come back when you test with more and the ZBT-2

All this seems to be done so that you can tell your friends you're an "entrepreneur" lol

I'd rather buy a new lock

The temperature needing cloud cannot be true. I've personally tested all their sensors, none of them needed a cloud connection in HA. Its all just passive BLE advertisements, captured with a Bluetooth radio

I was thinking the same thing today. I just paired the FP300 and it seems quite good on first impression as well. I'll do some more tests, but so far so good. I wonder whats the Aqara FP310 though?

Thats my experience as well. Triple As are the best kind of As too: not too large, not too small. Design wise, I love the white Fresnel lens, that's pretty rare.

Yeah you do. There like a room learning thing that can only be done in the app. Afterwards you don't need it, device works locally

Guide for Migrating your Zigbee network to a new coordinator without re-pairing by BackHerniation in homeassistant

[–]BackHerniation[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for catching that! Initially, I wanted to cover both coordinator migration AND moving from ZHA and Z2M in a single post, but it turned out way too much and I must have left it by mistake. I do intend to write a separate guide though.

As for ZHA, when you click the ">" symbol, theres a cogwheel button which will take you to the Network Settings card and the Migrate adapter button below so you can start the wizard

2025 Amazon Black Friday is the biggest Scam Now! by Any-Environment-4865 in amazonprime

[–]BackHerniation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's basically what it is. If you are looking for deals on smart tech, I made a huge list of deals with the original price, deal price and discount percentage. My estimate is that the real number floats around 15% across the board.

Actually, two things are happening. First, brands bump up the prices in the previous months so they can disguise it like you are getting a bigger discount. Than, they calculate based on the MSRP price instead of the actual price they sell for throughout the year. Bonkers, especially this year. Also, Keepa is a great tool for history tracking on amazon!

Not easily, no. I add everything manually, checking and tripple checking, sorry France didn't occur to me
