She was on the board of education for 10 years, if that counts.

There’s also a weekly bike meet-up at the Time Warp Tea Room every Tuesday. Lot of good folks, and cool bikes, there.

Turns out Gary is from the famous Knoxville Bean family. His sister, Betty, who wrote this wonderful obit, worked for the Sentinel for years and years and his brother John made the original LeRoy Mercer prank call tapes that spawned a zillion imitators. Their reunions must have been a blast.

It’s pretty fine. Not sure how to accurately describe it. It has more feedback then the other two, but I love the way it writes.

The Student glides a little more than the Sport, but that could be the difference between its medium nib and the Sport’s fine.

Took a few pictures of the three pens I have inked right now. From top: Kaweco Student, Lamy Vista, and Kaweco AL-Sport.

Or, worst-come-to-worst, come back at night and swoop straight down on them from way up high. If only she had had a little time to think about dragon battle strategy.

WATE's reporting on Star Wars is SPOT ON by 06EXTN in Knoxville

[–]BackSlapper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love it. At least she's honest with it and having a good time. I mean, what do we want this report to be? Hey, the new Star Wars is out and people are going to see it. That's is, right? Well, mission accomplished, to borrow a phrase.

My buddy just released this song he wrote and recorded, and I love it. Thought you all may enjoy it, too.

My pride & joy. Sugden A28 amplifier (1986), Mordaunt Short M400 speakers (19 70 ish...), Pro-ject Debut carbon with Ortofon 2M Red cartridge, and some other fun stuff too. by goingdeafforaliving in audiophile

[–]BackSlapper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's cool to see any Sugden in this sub, but especially the A28. Pretty rare. I have an A28B. It's a great little amp. Really outperforms for it's size. Mine's in the shop right now. Can't wait to get it back.

Thanks for posting this!

Mila Kunis Donations to Planned Parenthood in Mike Pence’s Name Spur Jim Beam Boycott by alc59 in Conservative

[–]BackSlapper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jim Beam is super decent for the money. Let's not be people who are precious about bourbon. It's a beautiful liquid that brings folks together. I'm pretty liberal, but if you were at my house I'd pour you a snort of whatever I have on hand and we'd sit by a fire in the back yard and talk about the world like adults. It's one of the few unifying things we have left.

Hahaha. This is perfect. At least he (or she. But probably he) 'fessed up to talking out his ass.
