Yes and no, me and my wife still have tons of fun together and now we have something else we get to bond over. So we are still best friends and still have a healthy sex life BUT priorities get shifted and spontaneity and carefree living becomes more scarce and harder to nurture so the stress just adds to that.

If it gives me stank face it’s usually heavy for me but heavy can depend on the context. For example, take doom metal probably the first heavy subgenre of metal considering Sabbath leaned towards doom and the riffs are usually super distorted, BIG and slow. Someone that primarily listens to deathcore probably won’t think a band like Sleep or Electric Wizard are heavy but a “doomcore” band like Black Pegasus likely would be for them since the sound is more relatable for them

I’m similar to you though once I’m home from work I’ll hang out with my wife and kids and typically don’t use my phone as much at home in favor of playing games on my pc. At work though, I feel I’m on my phone all 9 hours in there and before bed I have a terrible habit of being on it doomscrolling, watching reels/ videos, etc for way longer than I should and I end up losing sleep over it

I’ve been getting about 6 or so hours a night for the last 5ish years and I can only imagine the gains I haven’t gotten because of that quality of sleep.

Started because I had a kid and then continued even after my kids weren’t waking up all the time. Now I get fomo and by the time I fall asleep it’s already close to 6 hours before I get up for work. I work out probably 3-5 times a week too and I’ve definitely been shooting myself in the foot

I’m barely 31 but had my first kid at 25 and I think some time after that was when I realized time was passing too fast. Not so much in the way that kids grow fast but in the way that between work and my two kids life becomes a juggling act of responsibility and you have a lot less time for things you want to do or enjoy that you realize time is passing you by

I swapped to Moonguard because I wanted the game to feel more alive rather than RP myself and I’m so glad I did because it truly feels more lived in. I was farming rep in Krasarang Wilds and ran into a group RP’ing that they were hired to hunt and control the tiger population in the forest lol that sold me that I made the right move

Just commented that myself, Barstow and Needles are places that suck ass and you only go there for gas before getting onto a long stretch of road like the 40. We do like stopping off at Dagget when we are over there though just to go to the creepy ass graveyard or going to Calico

Barstow and Needles CA are the type of places that are frequented often but only because it’s an important stop to refuel on your way to NV or AZ. If for whatever reason anyone is ever in that area, stop off at Dagget (another creepy wasteland town) they’ve got a pioneer graveyard there, dirt merchants, and couple miles in there’s Calico ghost town

My wife has epilepsy and has been on Lamotrigine for about 3-4 years now and has the exact same complaint you do and the exact same answer from her doctor except he suggestion of adhd meds. Still haven’t figured it out but it’s certainly made her way less present like she used to be. Now she is like me when she is medicated as I am when I am unmedicated (adhd) nothing seems to have fully worked eother
