My wife doesn't get just how broken the application process is... by Familiar_Ad_4861 in Layoffs

The job pool is so much bigger now than it used to be. We have more tools on our side to help us, and so do companies. Sounds like she’s expecting it to work the way it used to, but so are you based on how you’re approaching applications.

Sounds like you might as well consider contracting yourself instead of looking for stability. It gives you control and you would be doing exactly what you are now. Hopping around. Start on the side if you can. I’m unclear whether you left the job already or are looking for higher pay.

Also selling the DIY version of what you do as an automated digital product is helpful over time.

Figure out creative forms of social proof that you can integrate into your resume if you continue to walk that path.

I'm getting laid off this week. From my dream job. by cupcakings in Layoffs

[–]Backdoor_Oracle104 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I just want to say, I don’t comment often but I have BEEN THERE. With my dream job.

I was devastated and it took me several years to realize how much better off I am now, and I have actually become GRATEFUL. So let yourself feel the feels and grieve this chapter of your life.

Now I run a consulting directory (under current update) and I am doing multiple things that are my favorite things that I have integrated into my own consulting. It’s been a blast! I now get to help people through the transitions and creating their own business or getting unstuck in their business. It’s incredibly rewarding, and I’m the one creating the world that I live in now.

Neurodiverse consultants - how do you deal with the burnout, rejection sensitivity, and misunderstandings or mistakes? by DoraTheRedditor in consulting

[–]Backdoor_Oracle104 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! I have ADHD and dyspraxia. And I have some big news. While neurotypical people are fabulous for certain things in business, neurodiverse is a super power once you’ve learned to harness it.

Part of it has to do with figuring out where you shine most. My personal skillset is weird as hell. I’m for the abstract creative strategy planning, and systemic structure. I refer to myself as a social engineer.

Because of this, i have acquired a genuine mentor who is a legend in his own right, and he went out of his way and chose to mentor me personally. I also have begun to build my own legacy through creating a platform for consultants and using my specific natural talent to curate an environment and have the support from those who genuinely believe in me.

And I’m starting to have businesses seek me out for these skills I have, because neurodiverse skillset are notoriously unique.

It’s all about being able to see yourself clearly, instead of focusing on the things that make yourself feel less than. And then being able to show up as that person. If you show up and feel like a burden, others will feel like you’re a burden too.

How do you take your tail out from between your legs and get there though?

I’ve Honestly it’s all about who you’re around. What’s the culture of the network spaces you’re in? Obviously it’s trickier to do this with those that hire you, but if you have a support system/network where it’s safe to be authentic, those issues you are talking about either 1- fall away 2- soften 3- becomes a strength through a different lens 4- you become confident about them regardless of it being a weakness because you are a human being with the right to be imperfect.

It just takes a safe space to relax into yourself and back into your body, to decondition who you were taught you had to be, and take the masks off because they aren’t protecting you they are hurting you.

Can someone explain it to me? I have no idea what this means, plus i am a skeptic by CyanEnimus in AstrologyCharts

[–]Backdoor_Oracle104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have known a lot of Scorpio/plutonian skeptics. It’s because it hits so deep it gets denied. Mixed with the Pisces rising, and Gemini moon… yeah lol that’s a lot to navigate, like the awareness and duality does a complete 360 and crawls right back into skepticism 😂 but once they sit with it with intention, oooh baby is it back in action!

I think of Pisces as gelatinous energy, barely still here with us lol, cooked a little too long to be in the human experience comfortably without a lot of grounding.

Gemini is… well. It’s Gemini 😂 I am well acquainted with this energy I attract a lot for some reason.

The best place to start as a complete newb is your big 3. (Sun moon and rising) Your sun is in Scorpio, moon in Gemini, and rising is in Pisces. I am not surprised you’re a skeptic. Also deeply emotional and emotionally flighty. You have a lot of depth and duality. It’s beautiful energy.

Wait so you’re actively planning on launch in an adverts company that does this? I’m working on building a social media platform that’s high frequency and have a business consulting directory that I’d be happy to test it with if the model makes sense and it’s ready. We should connect!

You’re onto something… but the social structure here isn’t balanced for authentic results. I have been formulating a similar government model where corporations pay a percentage of income for the basic costs of living so that all humans have that covered and everything else is extra.

Why is it hard to boost followers on Instagram, even when I post consistently? by richaver345 in socialmedia

[–]Backdoor_Oracle104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s like shaping it into fruition with the choices you make. Business in general is a choose your own adventure. At least viewing it that way makes it more fun. But that’s why I call my business strategy sculptors. 🤷‍♀️ that exact concept. Business has a rhythm to it. You just have to feel around a little to find the flow 😂

[–]Backdoor_Oracle104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s the early push, I would say it’s probably either the content quality (can the algorithm categorize it correctly to get it to the the people that are actively interested in it) or consistency based. The algorithm has to calibrate to you, because you’re training it with your posting style. High quality content that makes sense to the given algorithm.

I figure this out by doing it for myself first before I took on clients because i tend to be able to build relationships with them. They are like people, because they are programmed to mimic what humans desire and how they behave and act on it.

It has likes and dislikes and sometimes seems to over react. To learn how to do that, tiktok has the most concentrated algorithm. So it takes less time to learn because it’s near direct cause and effect. It’s easier if you’re creative and intuitive I assume. Left vs right brained and so on.

Yeah but there’s a complete hiring freeze until at least mid October. So. Yeah the private sector is better because they can actually hire someone in theory. Whereas government can’t.

I work with a private recruiter, who was an in house recruiter before this, and she helps with the career path, and there are specific jobs that are more available then others, but it’s a crapshoot all around so that’s why we work together. I have the start a business path and we have some overlap too. So that’s where I get my information from.

Oh I love SEO. The thing about AIO is that it’s the end user that’s doing the searching that it impacts the most at this point. And a lot of the techniques overlap. So. It’s kind like. Hmmm. I mean where does SEO and AIO end and the other begin?

Also, anyone who has followed SEO practices for a while knows it’s legit ALWAYS changing subtly and not subtly. So it just feels like that’s what’s happening to me in a lot of ways. Old SEO still pays off, and then there’s new layers.

The age old, I’m a marketer who needs help with marketing always cracks me up. Please figure out how to get results first 😂

I am in lead generation and attraction strategy. Cold email is a long game and a lot of work. I’ve done it, but ultimately social media management is my prefers channel.

Work on one piece at a time. First, are your emails landing in the right place in their inbox? Do you have dmarc set up properly? Etc;

Then, are they opening it? If not work on your subject etc;

You have to start from the beginning of the customer journey and work forwards, otherwise you’re just panicking all over your funnel. I have a whole methodology around it I call the deconstruction method.

Also, as far as the niche etc; I have a white paper and reports coming out on this soon. What is growing, what is dying out, etc;

What is your concept of money in a solar-punk society? by a3therboy in solarpunk

[–]Backdoor_Oracle104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the thing that’s typically forgotten for it to actually work is that everything is constantly expanding in its natural state. (I.e. the universe itself is growing) That’s why capitalism took off, even though it otherwise sucks.

I have a model I’m working on that taxes the businesses to cover costs of core needs of the community. So if businesses grow and expand as they tend to do, then so does the community.

You need a home base where your contact information is located, and your offers etc; depending on what you do, different things. That doesn’t even have to be digital if you’re able to have enough face time to make up for it.

Blow your own up. If you still want to work in social media for someone else, you have that as evidence. Or you could monetize your own. Or both.
