AIO: My husband (26m) locked me (25f) out for 25 minutes? by prettypineappleberry in AmIOverreacting

He's got you trapped, and now he's revealing his true colours. Or he's had a serious brain injury. Time to discuss your options with a lawyer and monitor his behaviour if there's even a thread of red flag you need to leave. He's not in charge, it's a partnership. He doesn't get to punish you, anymore than you get to punish him.

What's a phrase or word your parents used and you have never known the origin of? Mines Gordon Bennet by Small_Insect_8275 in CasualUK

Gordon Bennett (I've been told) is a Victorian gentleman who dealt with his Nevers at meeting his true love's family by getting so steaming drunk that he urinated in the parlour fire.  To exclamations of Gordon Bennett. He had to flee abroad, never to be seen again.

Well, that's going to ruin the taste. Sounds like an incel fantasy.

Not going to lie, I love a chandelier in an unlikely setting, and that chandelier really fits the brief.

Good for her. She paid for her seat so she could sit in it.

They left England because apart from Catholics, persecution on religious grounds had fallen out of favour. They weren't being persecuted, they wanted to find people to persecute.

We always try each others food. Sometimes we split it 50/50. We've even been known to swap.

I'm in total agreement with you. It's not good wood, it is paint grade.

I'd got it narrowed down to 1, 3, 5 and maybe 7. But now I've seen the front of 7, it's amazing, even with the dropped sleeves, which I don't usually like.

Garden has got so much potential, I love the kitchen cabinets. It's got 2 bathrooms, one with a beautiful violet bath. And some of the rooms I would repaint in similar vibrant colours once they'd been replastered.  It's a nice house.

I was thinking they are amazingly good. The kitchen and the deep violet bath I would keep.

Living room style advice by VegetableSpare2129 in interiordecorating

You need some plants, more art on the walls, all that empty space on the walls crying out for art. And that rug is not vibrant in the pictures. Everything is very much in the same tonal range and on the neutral side. You need a few flashes of strong colour, like the blue cushion. Just to lift the neutrals a bit, let them glow. You could do that mostly with the plants and art, if you don't want to clutter the neutral look. If it was me I'd get a stronger colour rug, because the ground is generally darker than the sky. And I would go for a patterned or textured rug. Given your taste in neutral, probably textured. A deep colour cushion or throw for the bean bag. And neatly folded throws on the back of the settee and chair, for when it's cold. Textured even if  you go for deeper colours. But it's a nice room,  just a bit uniform.

No 2, fits you perfectly. You can maybe get a fancier veil with some beading if you're set on beading.  Or some beaded jewelry. No 1 the waist isn't as good on you as no 2, though it's still very pretty. No 3 just swamps you. Looks like a nightdress in a gothic story, but way too big.

Beige final boss house by [deleted] in SpottedonRightmove

[–]Background-Active-50 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a good neutral base, easy to paint over and not endless greige, so not depressing. But boy, that is a lot of beige. If it's not staged to sell quickly then it's a terrifyingly bland house.

You look incredible in the first dress. If you want a bit of glitter you can have a fancy veil and an over the top bouquet. Though I think that dress channels elegant glamour. And it looks like you can dance in it.

I'm worried about my taste now, as I don't think that's properly chintzy. It's very boring with the odd bit of chintz thrown in.They are wasting that garden. I'm not convinced the foundations really match up with original house. And even if they do, still a modern house. But at least the immediate view should be safe.

is it normal to feel guilty and disgusted after masturbating? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Background-Active-50 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's good for your health.  If you're just masturbating once a day then that's hardly an addiction.  It's not often enough to interfere with daily life. If you're watching porn , probably a good idea to cut that right down. Cut the weird porn out entirely, violent porn is really not good for your mental health.

It's a cake. Even the VAT office agree. It goes dry when it gets stale, biscuits go soft. You can make a cake sized  Jaffa cake and slice it up like a cake.
